We have been lucky enough to work with many of our placements for a long period of time so we have been able to build good
relationships and work together to continue to benefit individuals and communities in London and New York. This summer has been no
different, and our volunteers have been working with:
London:
Peckham Settlement
Providence Row
St Hilda’s
St Margaret’s House
Bede House
Mosaic Clubhouse
A full time volunteer to a small charity often proves invaluable and we are often told about the great work that the volunteers have been
doing in their placements both from the placements and the people that use their services:
“Having a Winant
volunteer involved in our
community offered the
opportunity to share
cultures, experiences, and
information in effort to
increase awareness,
knowledge and
understanding of other
cultures in this world.“
Darah Salmaggi – Brooklyn
Community Services
“The luxury of having an
extra set of caring hands
(and legs) during these
two months makes a
world of difference to
those in need of
companionship and
assistance.”
Robin Strashun – Search and
Care
We are looking to expand the programme in 2013 with more
volunteers and more placements! So if you know of any charities
that might benefit from having a volunteer please ask them to get
in touch with us!
