Play and Learn
The following courses promote positive parenting and
prepare parents to be their child’s first teacher. Parents
learn practical skills to help children three to five years
old become ready for successful entry to school while the
children play in a child care setting. Parents and children
are then brought together to practice the activities and
skills. At least one adult must be in attendance and may
bring a maximum of two children. Each parent in attendance
must register for the noncredit course. Children will
be registered for the play session on-site at no additional
charge. Participants must arrive at least 15 minutes prior
to the scheduled start of the class. For more information
