Dear Customers and Valued Partner,
I am pleased to invite you to the 1st European HyperWorks Technology Conference
(HTC) to take place in Berlin, Germany on October 23 – 24, 2007. The conference
will establish a platform and discussion forum for our customers and partners
throughout Europe.
In 2006, Altair introduced an European organisation to serve our international customers
better. We now have regional organisations in Europe, Asia and America with
special events geared toward each region. The main aim of the 1st European Hyper-
Works Technology Conference is to bring together leading engineers and engineering
management from various industries who share a common interest in engineering simulation
and innovation. Participants will gain insight into different topics such as
structural analysis and optimization, as well as learn about the direction
future Altair products will take. In addition, the HTC will offer excellent networking
opportunities for industry experts, vendors and engineering partners.
We want you to leave full of new ideas and inspiration.
I look forward to seeing you in Berlin
HYPERWORKS TECHNOLOGY
CONFERENCE 2007
Who Should Attend?
The 1st European HyperWorks Technology Conference is dedicated to engineers
and engineering management with a special focus on simulation and optimization.
Our attendees can take advantage of the cross-industry nature of the event
and gain fresh perspectives from industries within and outside their own. The material
presented will benefit many parts of an organisation from the hands-on
practitioners and their managers to the people tasked with compressing design
times or producing innovative, profitable products.
Reasons to attend the 1st European HTC 2007:
• New Ideas – Gain new insights on simulation and optimisation from our
presenters and keynote speakers. The presented material will give you a fresh
perspective on product development in and outside your industry.
• New Products – Have you had the opportunity to learn about all the new
capabilities HyperWorks offers? Learn more about new developments in the
HyperWorks portfolio.
• New Contacts - Make contacts and renew old acquaintances with Altair staff,
colleagues and Altair partners exhibiting at the technical show case.
• Networking - Enjoy extended networking and fun during our evening events:
Workshops October 22, 2007
Non-linear Optimization & Reliability Workshop
The workshop will provide guidelines on the most efficient techniques to explore a highly
non-linear design space. It will highlight the advantages and disadvantages of various
point sampling and curve fitting techniques. This will be illustrated by industrial case studies
from various industries where the technology has been used to successfully increase
the understanding of design drivers and produce both optimised and reliable designs.
Efficient Pre Processing of Car Bodies:
The workshop will discuss how HyperMesh can be used efficiently for the set up of car
body models for crash, statics or NVH, including assembly and welding functionality.
Specifically developed functionalities for the whole process will be shown.
Practical Use of Morphing for Seamless Creation of Design Variants
Mesh morphing is a powerful method to generate design variants based on a ready-to-run
finite element model. This technology is beneficial for both, concept design studies and
generating variants in a later design phase. In the workshop different methods for different
tasks will be described and discussed.
Sign up for the workshops at www.altair.com/htc2007 or register with the included
registration form.
