Draka Holding NV, who have their Headquarters in Amsterdam,
The Netherlands, is the holding company of a group of operating companies
in the area of development, production, sales and marketing of cables and
cable systems. As a global manufacturer of wire and cable, Draka has over
9000 employees operating in 26 different countries.
The company is divided into two main groups: Draka Comteq and Draka
Cableteq. The Rubber Cable Division is part of the Draka Cableteq group.
Seven different production sites constitute the globally present Rubber
Cable Division, jointly responsible for the development, production and
marketing of the standard and harmonised rubber cables, as well as rubber
cables for special purposes intended for both low and medium voltage
applications.
More than 600 skilled and dedicated employees form the backbone of

DRAKAFLEX
This range of cables is intended for use both indoor and
some designs are also suitable for permanently outdoor
use, when exposed to low to medium mechanical stress.
The cables are suitable for applications in domestic
premises, kitchens and offices, as well as in industrial and
agricultural workshop appliances, and also for the connection
of electrical tools and motors where a high degree of
flexibility is required, e.g. on building sites. The H05RN-F
and H07RN-F types are also oil resistant. All these cables
remain flexible down to a temperature of minus 25°C.
Furthermore the cable is suited for fixed installations e.g. on
rough cast in temporary buildings or huts for accommodation
purposes. Applications up to 1000 V are permitted for
fixed, protected installation and also for motor connections
of hoisting motors and the like.

Rainbow
The DRAKAFLEX ® Rainbow cable types represent an
additional feature by giving the customer a choice of colour
on the outer sheath as well as individual print requirement,
in order to have the cable in accordance with your company
profile. The ranges of applications for the coloured cables are
identical to the black coloured cables.
A rubber cable with a coloured outer sheath supports the
chosen house style of any company and simplifies the
identification of the cable when mixed with others. In garden
applications the coloured cable is much easier to detect in
order to avoid damaging the cable when connected to, for
example, electrical lawnmowers.

DRAKAFLEX
Aqua
The DRAKAFLEX ® Aqua cable types are specially designed
for different applications in water and can sustain water
depths of up to 100 m. The DRAKAFLEX ® Aqua may also be
used in dry, humid or moist rooms as well as in open air. For
drinking water applications we offer a KTW- tested and
certified solution where the cable may be submersed down
to a depth of 300 m. For depths beyond this we also offer
medium voltage cables suitable for connection to
submersible pumps.

Lighting
DRAKAFLEX ® Lighting is designed for illumination chains,
having a rectangular cross section intended for pin-
connecting fittings. The area of application is jogging trails,
temporary markets, festivals or terrace lighting for either a
permanent illumination or for temporary decorative purposes.
In order to obtain the special Christmas atmosphere our
DRAKAFLEX ® Lighting is ideal since the cable can be produced
with different sheath colours in order to suit its application.
The cable is flexible down to -25°.

DRAKAFLEX
Tarmo
DRAKAFLEX ® Tarmo has a very wide temperature range
from minus 50°C up to plus 90°C and can therefore be
used in very tough winter climates, as well as for higher
temperature applications, for example heaters.
The maximum conductor temperature of 90°C also allows
the cable to carry a higher current.
DRAKAFLEX ® Tarmo is also “Low Smoke Zero Halogen” and
suitable for use indoors as well as outdoors.

DRAKAFLEX
Heat
The EVA based cable design of DRAKAFLEX ® Heat withstands
a temperature of up to 110 °C. For this reason the
cable is most suitable for use in high ambient temperatures
in household appliances as well as internally in equipment,
for example luminaries and boilers where the cable is
exposed to high temperatures. The cable is also suitable for
internal wiring due to the white outer sheath.

DRAKAFLEX
PUR
DRAKAFLEX ® PUR has an outer sheath of polyurethane,
which gives the cable an especially tough outer sheath,
withstanding applications where very high abrasion and tear
resistance is required. The operating temperature range is
from minus 50°C to plus 90°C. The cable is intended for use
in dry, humid or moist environments outdoors. Our design of
DRAKAFLEX ® PUR is ideally suited for making retractable
spiral cables. Note also that DRAKAFLEX ® PUR can be
ordered with different sheath colours.
DRAKAFLEX ® PUR is “Low Smoke Zero Halogen”.

DRAKAFLEX
Welding
DRAKAFLEX ® Welding is a very flexible cable designed for
hand held welding tools as well as for welding equipment
applications. It withstands high mechanical loads and is
intended for use in dry and damp areas, as well as outdoors.
DRAKAFLEX ® Welding Highflex, with the designation
H01N2-E, should be installed where even higher flexibility is
required.

Sun
DRAKAFLEX ® Sun is a range of power cables intended for the
Photo Voltaic sector, where solar power is converted to
electrical energy.
These cables are designed for various solar panel applications
and have different characteristics in order to meet the final
requirements. The specially designed cables withstand
exposure to the sun through an increased ozone and UV
resistant protection. This cable is also capable of
withstanding changing weather conditions. The designs of
these cables are supported by different HAR, VDE, IEC and
UL standards.
The BETAX ® cables have a crossed-linked material. The
DRAKAFLEX ® Sun BETAX ® 1.5 kV cable will therefore
withstand a temperature of up to 125°C.

Extra Heavy Duty
When mechanical stress demands on a cable are expected
to be high we offer DRAKAFLEX ® Extra Heavy Duty
This design has extremely high tear and abrasion resistance
and is generally suitable for a tough working environment.
It is intended for connection to mobile equipment and
machines in dry and damp areas, as well as outdoor and in
conveyor systems. NSSHOEU is also suitable for applications
in mines, heavy industry, quarries and building sites.
DRAKAFLEX ® Extra Heavy Duty is also permitted for fixed
installation in temporary buildings or huts for
accommodation purposes as well as for motor connections
e.g. hoisting motors.

DRAKAFLEX
Connect
DRAKAFLEX ® Connect is intended for fixed installation in
rolling stock equipment, in conduits and for connecting
movable parts.
Cables with a rated voltage of 3 kV may be used in low
voltage equipment as a short circuit connection.
Both the NSGAFCMOEU as well as NSHXAFCMOEU are
intended for the use where higher mechanical stress is
exposed to the cable, e.g. for connecting or wiring of heating
circuits in rolling stock.
