Over 10,000 condos to be
transferred for beneficiarie
The Addis Ababa City
Admiration Housing
Development Project Office
said it is to transfer 10,000
condos to beneficiaries in the
coming Sunday in draw. Office

Ethiopian Airlines
received its third
Boeing 777-200LR
on Friday, a
statement the
Airlines sent to ENA
on
Friday said.
It said Ethiopian has
planned to
substantially
increase its network
which will be
supported by
technological and
environmental
advanced fleet.
According to the
statement, this move
will enable Ethiopian
to provide its
customers a
competitive and
enhanced
service. Boeing 777-
200LR is the
longest range
commercial aircraft
in
the world, currently
operating non-stop
from Washington to
Addis Ababa,
it said. The statement
said Ethiopian
would take delivery
of two additional
777-200LRs before
the end of 2011.
Ethiopian currently
operates a total
fleet of 45 aircraft,
the statement said,
adding, the Airline
has 34 new
airplanes on order
direct from the
manufacturers,
including the two 777-
200LRs,
twelve A350-900, ten
787s
and ten 737-800 jets.

Meriwan Bedri presented his credential to the
Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He

The Ministry of foreign affairs told ENA
in a statement on Monday that
ambassador Meriwan presented his
credentials to Saudi Arabian foreign

General Ambassador Muhammad al-

occasion said he would work to further
enhance economic and people to people
age-long relations of the two
countries.Ambassador Meriwan told the
official that there is a conducive

Meles says gov’t will further
strengthen market stabilization
Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said the government will further
strengthen efforts to stabilize market in the country.
While responding to questions posed by members of the parliament
here on Thursday, Meles said the recent measures taken by the
government to stabilize market will further continue strengthened. The
Premier said the government took the measures as per the Trade
Praand Consumers’ Protection Proclamation approved in the previous
Ethiopian year and also other related proclamations. Market
interference by the government is necessary to prevent inflation and
find alternatives to solve problems related to market, he said. Meles
said the ongoing efforts will further continue strengthened to create
competitive market through balanced mbelieves that investorare
development partnersthe premier said, adding, thgovernment will
provide the necessary support to investors with a view to enabling
them contribute share in the development of the country. Meles also
called onnvestors to enhance participation towards development of the
country. He called on the investors to provide the necessary service to
the public and not to be self-centered or rent scammers. Meles said
activities are underway to make use of Tajura Port in Djibouti in
addition to the Djibouti Port itself. A study is also being conducted on
ways to make use of ports icountries such as Kenya, Sudan and
Somalia. The federal government will strive towards implementation of
development projects in regions as per the timetable set earlier, he
said.
