Staff Selection Commission conducted Examination for recruitment to posts of Sub-

Inspectors in CPOs, Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF and Intelligence Officer in NCB, 2011 on

28.8.2011. Based on the performance in the written examination, 2406 candidates (2292-Male

& 114-Female) were called for Interview for the post of SI in CPOs/ ASI in CISF and 191

candidates were called for Interview for the post of I.O. in NCB after they qualified in

PET/Medical Examination.

2. The category-wise details of the candidates qualified for appointment to the posts of SI in

CPOs, Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF and Intelligence Officer in NCB, 2011 are as under :-

3. As per Notice of Examination RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES have been resolved by

applying following criteria one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved.

(i) Total marks in the written examination.

(ii) Marks in the Second Paper of the written examination

(iii) Marks in the first paper of the examination.

(iv) Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher.

(v) Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.

5. For post of SI CPO/ASI in CISF (10 male candidates and 01 female candidate) whose

candidature have been kept as Provisional by concerned regional offices are also included in the

Select list. Concerned RDs/DDs will check the eligibility of such candidates thoroughly before

nominating them.

6. Some candidates could not be allocated due to blank/invalid/selective or incomplete

preferences exercised by them and have not been considered in the Select List. They will be

considered against unfilled vacancies taking into account their options in default order as in the

notice in due course. However, such additionally allocated candidates will figure in the Reserve

List and will be en-bloc junior to those in the Select List.

7. The list of recommended candidates is purely PROVISIONAL and subject to the

candidates fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed in the Notice of said examination and

also subject to, among other things, thorough verification of their identity with reference to their

photographs, signatures, handwritings, etc on the application forms, admission certificates etc.

8. For candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain percentage of vacancies

are reserved as per policy of the Government, the category status is indicated against their roll

numbers. It is important to note that some of these candidates have been declared qualified only

in the category mentioned against their roll numbers. If any candidate does not actually belong to

the category mentioned against his/her name, he/she may not be eligible to be included in the list.

It is, therefore, in the interest of candidates concerned to contact immediately the respective

Regional Offices of the Commission in all such cases where they do not belong to the categories

shown against their Roll Numbers.
