Occupational Hygiene Services

3. Marine
As a classification society, Bureau Veritas assesses ships for conformity with specific
sets of rules, with a particular focus on determining structural soundness and reliability
of machinery on-board. Bureau Veritas also provides ship and marine equipment
certification on behalf of national ‘flag administrations’. Additional services include
consultancy, technical assistance and training.
If you are involved in the maritime industry, classification refers to a range of services
performed on a vessel, from its design and construction, to its “in-service” status, with

recognised safety standards. As a classification body, Bureau Veritas are strongly

The core competency of the International Trade business line (ITA) is to service the
