D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Oragnic Foliar Fertilizers<br />
<strong>DI</strong> <strong>Grow</strong> foliar fertilizer is a liquid organic fertilizer<br />
extracted from the Acadian Seaweed created<br />
using the US formula and highly rich in complete<br />
and well balanced Macro and Micro elements,<br />

d) Pour & fill the mixed D.I.<strong>Grow</strong> in the pipe<br />
e) Cover the pipe with a polythene or stopper.<br />
Rate: Pour I teaspoon full (5mls) in the PVC pipe then fill with water. Or mix 750ml in 15<br />
Litres & fill each PVC pipe, Apply once in 30 days (1 Month).<br />
4) Root infusion Method:<br />
This is also suitable for very tall trees whose leaves are not easily accessible.<br />
Procedure:<br />
a) Dig around the tree for 2 healthy roots (relatively<br />
young)<br />
b) Cut off the tips of the roots.<br />
c) Immerse them in separate polythenes of mixed D.l<br />
<strong>Grow</strong> & tie with strings.<br />
d). Cover lightly with soil, preferably that without stones.<br />
Rate:<br />
Mix 50ml of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> in I Litre of water.<br />

2) Tugal Method (Flushing):<br />
This method applies to plants whose leaves are too high to be<br />
accessed involves making holes around the Plants mainly trees.<br />
it can be applied on Paw paws, Avocado, Mangos, Jack fruit &<br />
other tree plants..<br />
Procedure:<br />
a) Make four holes around the plant/tree. 2 besides the plant, I at the front & another<br />
at the back.<br />
b) Each holes should be about 15cm deep, (you can use an auger or a hoe)<br />
d) The distance from the stem to the tree should be about 25cm.<br />
Rate:<br />
a) Mix 400ml of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> in 15 Litres of<br />
Water.(the mixture)<br />
b) Get I Litre of the mixture above per<br />
tree.<br />
c) Divide the I Litre of the mixture into 4<br />
parts. (250ml of the mixture)<br />
d) Pour 250ml of the mixture in each of<br />
the 4 holes.<br />

BACKGROUND<br />

The damage of the forest community which resulted from agricultural land opening<br />
has changed ionic elements cycle. In natural forest community, the amounts of ionic<br />
elements that deviate from the cycle are relatively small. The ionic elements in the cycle<br />
are replaced through the process of decomposition of organic materials. When forests<br />
are opened to become agricultural land, the amount of ionic elements that comes out<br />
from the cycle is relatively large, that is close to 100%. This is due to excessive exploitation<br />
and intensification of land. When produce is harvested it is transported to consumers<br />
and crop remains are given to livestock yet nothing is returned to the farm. Furthermore,<br />
ionic elements are lost through soil erosion because of surface runoff (water cycle).<br />
Meanwhile there are no ionic elements (fertilizer) added to the farm. In order for this<br />
cycle to remain taking place, for production stability, the loss of ionic elements in the<br />
agricultural land is replaced through artificial fertilizers (inorganic technology).<br />

The use of inorganic (chemical) fertilizers in Indonesia since 1969 has been conducted<br />
through a Mass Intensification program. Its impact in a short-run had spectacular results<br />
to agricultural production increase, that Indonesia got appreciated by the Food and<br />
Agriculture Organization of United Nations because of its rice self sufficiency, in 1986.<br />
But now it is all over, importing of rice is done every year.<br />
The over use of inorganic (chemical) fertilizers in the long-run has caused land<br />
degradation, hard soils (poor root formation). It has also caused the soil to become<br />
saturated with chemical/residue of fertilizers (the supply of any chemical fertilizer does<br />
not improve productivity, since the land does not respond to fertilizer application<br />
anymore)<br />
Fertilizer use by most farmers in Indonesia is partial. They only apply N (Urea), P (Sp-<br />
36) and K (KCL) elements, while other elements are not applied especially the micro<br />
elements, which has resulted into the deficiency of certain ionic elements and the<br />
accumulation of certain ionic element in this soil.<br />

• Mixed into the drinking water/flushed on the grass<br />
Small cattle : 1 tablespoon of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Green + 10 liter of water + 0.5 handful of<br />
salt, given once a day.<br />
Big cattle : 1 tablespoon of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Green + 5 liter of water + 1 handful of salt,<br />
given once a day.<br />
• Mixed into the feed<br />
Mix 1 tablespoon of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Green + e kg of feed + sufficient water, given once<br />
a day.<br />
Poultry Group (Chicken, Duck, Quail)<br />
• Mixed into the drinking water<br />
Applied after the age of the chickens is 4-7 days after hatching, with a dosage of<br />
1 tablespoon of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Green + 10 liter of water, given once a day. If there are<br />
remains left after 24 hours, it should be removed. When being vaccinated, the<br />
D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Green is applied at that certain day only. It can be given again on the<br />
following day.<br />

- Nursing<br />
The supplement of D.I. GROW Green fertilization can be applied after 4 weeks of<br />
seed scattering, with a dosage of 3 cc liters of D.I. GROW Green/Ha by diluting the<br />
D.I. GROW, then scattered evenly into the water surface of embankment/pond. It<br />
is recommended to apply the supplement of D.I. GROW after replacing the water<br />
(when the water of embankment/pond is replaced).<br />
If supplementary feed is given, supplement of D.I. GROW can be applied through<br />
the feed with a dosage of 1 tablespoon + 3 kg of feed. Mix well, aerate, then the<br />
feed can be given to the fish/shrimp.<br />
2. Rushing water/Floating Fish Net/ Floating Fish Cage Ponds<br />
It is recommended to mix D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> with the feed/pellet in its application with a<br />
dosage of 1 tablespoon of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Green + 0.5 liter of water + 3 kg of feed/pellet,<br />
mix well, aerate, then the feed can be given to the fish.<br />
D.I. GROW NUTRITION FOR CATTLES<br />
Cattle productivity depends on 3 main aspects; they are Breeding, Feeding and<br />
Management. From those three aspects, feeding aspect takes an important role<br />
about 60%-80% of the total cost of animal husbandry production.<br />
Why can D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> Green be applied for cattle? It can be understood that D.I.<br />
<strong>Grow</strong> is made of organic substance that is seaweed, which does not contain toxic.<br />
Therefore, physiologically, it will not endanger the cattle.<br />

For proper crop growth, 16 ionic elements are required (macro and micro) so-called<br />
essential ionic elements. Each element is equally important and cannot be replaced<br />
by another. If illustrated with human beings, it is like the balanced diet (carbohydrate,<br />
meat, vegetable, and fruit) and 5th perfection (milk) in which each has a different<br />
role. Besides the balanced diet and 5-perfection, human beings still need regulators.<br />

D.I. GROW is a liquid organic fertilizer formed with the best formula from U.S.A,<br />
made from Acadian seaweed, containing complete ionic elements, both macro ionic<br />
elements ( N,P,K, Ca, Mg,S) and micro ones (Fe, Ze, Cu, Mo, Mn, B, Cl). It also has plant<br />

APPLICATION OF D.I. GROW<br />
• Basic fertilizer (NPK) is still applied, yet reduced 30% of the dosage recommended.<br />
• Green D.I. GROW spraying when the age of cassava crops is 30 days after planting,<br />
and 90 days after planting with a dosage of 45-50 cc/liters of water. Spray evenly<br />
on the stems and leaves. Spraying is done before 09.00 a.m. or after 04.00 p.m.<br />
• Red D.I. GROW spraying when the age of cassava crops is 120 days after planting,<br />
150 days after planting and 180 days after planting with a dosage of 50-60 cc/<br />
spraying tank of 15 liters. Time and sprayed parts equal to above arrangement.<br />

1. Soil Pond<br />
- Preparation of pond/embankment<br />
It is recommended to dry the embankment for several days, then calcified dug in a<br />
reciprocate manner, and left for 5-7 days. After that, scatter Urea fertilizer 20 gr/m2,<br />
SSSP-36 10 gr/m2 and D.I <strong>Grow</strong> Green 3 liters/Ha. Pour water upto ± 20 cm in high<br />
.Leave it for 5-7 days. The purpose is to grow natural feed/plankton. After 5-7 days,<br />
pour water gradually until reaching the desired height. Fish/shrimp seeds can be<br />

FUNCTIONS OF D.I. GROW<br />
1. Complement Fertilizer.<br />
Even though the D.I. GROW contains complete macro and micro ionic element,<br />
the amounts are very small, that it is it still needs basic fertilizers but the basic fertilizer<br />
reduces 30% of suggestion dosage.<br />
2. <strong>Grow</strong>th Stimulation Essence. These accelerate the vegetative growth of plants,<br />
stimulate flowering /insemination and prevent flower and fruit from falling easily.<br />

THE ROLE OF D.I. GROW FERTILIZER TO LAND AND PLANT<br />
In the following we can see the “Food Chain” figure that depicts the process of forming<br />
HEALTHY SOIL in which the sun is the source of primary energy. Sunlight energy can<br />
not be absorbed directly by human being. The role of plants is to absorb energy in<br />
the process of photosynthesis. When plants die they become organic material which<br />
becomes food stuff for soil microbes and so on, the chain continues. If any of these<br />
chains is absent, the soil will not be healthy. D.I. GROW plays a role in this chain because<br />

TREATMENT TO SLIP MATERIAL<br />

planted, for the purpose of accelerating the growth of roots and buds.<br />
• Such manner can be left in case of seed stock coming from ratoon.<br />
TREATMENT TO RATOON SEED<br />
• Apply the spraying of D.I. GROW Green with a dosage of 3 cc/liters of water on the<br />
3rd week after the application of ratoon.<br />
• The application is repeated with a dosage of 3 cc/liters of water each 20 days (2time<br />
applications).<br />
• After the last D.I. GROW application, the next application is done 20 days later using<br />
D.I. GROW Red. The Spraying using D.I. GROW Red is applied in an interval of each<br />
20 days.<br />
• In case of the plants’ height reaching more than 1 meter, and possibly disturbing<br />
the implementation of application, the supplement spraying can be settled.<br />
• Application on sugarcane can be done 5-6 times.<br />
APPLICATION OF D.I. GROW FERTILIZER ON STRAWBERRY CROPS<br />
IMMATURE PLANTS (IP)<br />

- Apply D.I. GROW Green fertilizer as leaf fertilizer. D.I. GROW spraying is applied every<br />
10 days with a dosage of 3 cc/liters of water. Spray evenly on the leaves of the<br />
strawberries.<br />

When D.I. GROW starts interacting with plant cells, auxin hormone and N ionic<br />
elements contained in D.I. GROW absorbed increase cell wall permeability. This condition<br />
enables D.I. GROW solution applied to easily pass through the plant cell membrane. Mg,<br />
Fe and Cu ionic elements of D.I. GROW absorbed by the leaf accelerate and multiply<br />
the formation of chlorophyll. The increasing rate of chlorophyll production increases the<br />
rate of photosynthesis.<br />
The photosynthetic products in form of carbohydrate together with Auxin<br />
hormone are quickly translocated to parts of roots. The presence of cytokine hormone<br />
added exogenly will smoothen the process of material translocation up to roots.<br />
Photosynthetic product and Auxin stimulate crop root to form Cytokine and Gibberellins<br />
some of which are used in the mechanism required for the formation of new roots and<br />
root hairs.<br />
Besides increasing permeability of the cell wall, the Auxins also increase cell<br />
turgor pressure. This hastens plant root absorption and translocation to the rest of the<br />
plant. In addition to translocation of ground water from root, gibberellins and cytokine<br />
formed at the root are transported to rest of the plant parts.<br />
Cytokine and Gibberellins work simultaneously to accelerate plant growth to<br />
form leaf or flower buds. The addition of cytokine and gibberellins increase the quantity<br />
of cytokine and gibberellins indogen which brake dormancy.<br />
For all that to occur there must be sufficient supply of ionic elements and D I <strong>Grow</strong> can<br />
fulfill this requirement.<br />
THE BENEFIT OF D.I. GROW USAGE<br />
The complete composition of D I <strong>Grow</strong> in form of ionic elements, plant growth hormones<br />
and humic acid has the following benefits:<br />
• Stimulating root formation and increasing the Efficiency of Basic Fertilizer<br />
The continuing process of D.I. GROW application to the crop improves the growth<br />
of roots. As the process increases Gibberellins and Cytokine forming in the roots<br />
increase. As the concentration of Gibberellins and Cytokine in the roots increases,<br />
some are taken up from the root surface along with root exudates.<br />
The hormone added together with photosynthetic materials which gathered in<br />
the root as root maker materials is also exploited by existing land/ground microbe<br />
around the young roots. The metabolism done by the land/ground microbes<br />
increases availability of ionic element absorbed by the root, especially for N and P<br />
ions. The combination of the mechanism of root development and the metabolism<br />
of land/ground microbe increases the amount of ionic element absorbed by the<br />
crop during association. Thus, efficiency of basic fertilizer usage can be improved.<br />

• Enlarging the leaf size and lengthening the productive age of the leaf<br />
Auxin and Cytokine added through application of D.I. <strong>Grow</strong> are able to improve the<br />
working energy of cytokine endogen especially during the process of cell division.<br />
The cells of plant leaves split faster, so that more cells can be formed at a time.<br />
The same thing happens with Gibberellins. As growth stimulation of the root<br />
increases, the amount of Gibberellins Endogen increases. Increase of Gibberellins<br />
concentration is hastened by the addition of Gibberellins through D.I. GROW<br />
application. This facilitates the increasing rate of the process of leaf cell elongation.<br />
This process results into wide leaf formation. Using D.I. GROW, there fore causes<br />
leaves to enlarge up to 3 (three) times.<br />
Increasing Cytokine concentration in leaf that is above normal concentration, will<br />
depress the formation of abscic acid hormone. The formation of abscic hormone<br />
becomes slower so that the leaf will not age quickly. This condition enables the leaf<br />
to have the longest productive age. This effect can be seen clearly in soybean and<br />
potato crops which used D.I. GROW a. When these two crops are in their normal<br />
condition, near maturity (before harvest time), their leaves turn yellow and moult<br />
quickly. But for crop using D.I. GROW until past the age of harvest, the leaf still looks<br />
fresh and green.<br />
• Improving the accumulation of photosynthesis product in the form of Fruit/<br />
Tuber<br />
The process of growth stimulation doesn’t stop at the leaves; this process continues<br />
up to the depository tissues. The increasing rate of photosynthesis will make C/N Ratio<br />
to become relatively big. This condition will make the crop to change its phase,<br />
from vegetative phase to generative phase. In the generative phase, the crop<br />
starts forming its depository tissues in form of fruits, root tuber, modified leaves.<br />
The concentration of hormones cytokine and Gibberellins will improve capacities of<br />
depository tissues formed. Depository tissue cells formed will be bigger. This condition<br />
facilitates the fast translocation of photosynthetic products in the depository tissues.<br />
This action can be seen clearly in potato tuber size which increases by 30%. In<br />
paddy crops, the increasing of depository can be seen with the paddy seed size<br />
that is mean weight of seed increase by 20%.<br />
• Stimulate Formation of Flower<br />
Increase of C/N ratio takes the crop into a period of primordial flowering, shortening<br />
the plant’s maturity period. In this phase, additional Gibberellins often break<br />
dormancy brought by temperature and long irradiation. With paddy, the average<br />
number of reduced days is up to 10 days. Mangoes and oranges flower earlier<br />
between 20-30 days earlier.<br />
• Reduces rate of flower falling<br />
The action of Gibberellins and Auxin depress production of abscic acid hormone.<br />
Thus, the abscission process (the release of crop parts) is reduced.<br />

flowers and fruits. D.I. GROW is used at the time of flowering and pollination.<br />
• D.I. GROW Red is very suitable for all kinds of flowering/fruiting crops.<br />

• Volume size : 0.25 liter, 1 liter and 4 liters<br />
• Concentration : 4-5ml /1liter of water (depends on the crop age)<br />

D.I. GROW APPLICATION<br />
Application of ionic elements to the plant can be done through the root, the<br />
trunk and the leaf. The technology of D.I GROW application prioritizes spraying method,<br />
since this method is more efficient and effective except for some crops where it is<br />
impossible to spray the leaves, because the plant is too high. In this case, application<br />
can be done through the stem (inject to the trunk by drilling it) or by pouring into the<br />
ground (the root area).<br />
Application to different kinds of crops can be seen on appendix.<br />
The frequency of D I <strong>Grow</strong> application can be done optimally according to the<br />
crop’s critical condition in general. The average number of crop’s critical condition<br />
can be divided into three phases, which are:<br />
• Young crop phase (vegetative phase)<br />
• Flower primordial phase (generative phase)<br />
• The enlargement of fruit or tuber phase<br />
Application frequency can be done according to the above phases.<br />
a) D.I GROW Application on Vegetative Phase<br />
The application of D.I GROW in this phase is done to speed up the growth and<br />
development of the roots, the stem and the leaves. The first spraying on young plants<br />
is done when the young leaves are able to photosynthesize optimally. At this phase,<br />
application of D.I GROW green is done for plants at the age of 10 to 20 days after being<br />
planted, at the rate of 3 cc / liter of water.<br />
b). Application of D.I. GROW in Generative Phase<br />
This is an optimal growth phase of the plant before turning to the generative growth<br />
phase. Application of D.I GROW at this phase will make crops grow faster and the size<br />
of the plant will be bigger than its normal size.<br />
The relatively fast growth and increase in size of fruit that is above normal occurs after<br />
application of D .I. <strong>Grow</strong> because D.I. GROW contains plant growth hormones (Auxin,<br />
Cytokine, and Gibberellins) which work simultaneously. Auxins cause cell division,<br />
cytokine increases new cell growth through fast cell division. While hormone Gibberellins<br />
increases the elongation of formed cells and the crop becomes bigger and grows<br />
rapidly. Visually, the flowering of this crop will happen earlier.<br />
At this phase, we use D.I. GROW Red. This is done when the crop reaches above the age<br />
of 30 days after planting (for season crop) with the doze of 4-5 cc/liter of water. While for<br />
annual crop it depends on the types of the crop (see annual crop application).<br />
c).Application of D.I. GROW during Enlargement of Fruit/Tuber Phase<br />
At the end of the vegetative growth phase, the crop begins to form depository tissues for<br />
carbohydrates, this can be in the form of fruit, root tuber (corm grow), or trunk. Application<br />
during the flower primordial phase has assisted formation of the depository tissues. The<br />
number of fruits and tuber sizes increases through differentiation and multiplication of<br />
crop cells which function as carbohydrate depository vessel.<br />

The production phase will also measure the pattern of crop growth. The initial production<br />
phase shows that growth is bigger. At one-third of fruit or tuber age, the growth of fruit<br />
or tuber is relatively fast, it means that carbohydrate formation speed is increasing<br />
gradually and then the depository speed of carbohydrates reaches its maximum at<br />
on-third of the fruit age on average. After that, the depository speed declines and stops<br />
when maturity of fruit or tuber takes place.<br />
At this phase use D.I. GROW Red, at a of dosage 4-5 cc/Liter of water. Application at this<br />
phase will give good results, and the maturity of fruit occurs fast.<br />
ATTENTION<br />
To gain optimal results, the following points should be considered when using D.I GROW<br />
fertilizer<br />
• The fertilizer should be mixed with water<br />
• The fertilizer is sprayed to all parts of the crop and around the root area.<br />
• The fertilizer is used in the morning (at 06.00 – 09.00 a.m.) or in the evening (after<br />

1. Balancing the Ratio of Male and Female Flowers<br />
Steps:<br />
- Choose palms with more male flowers than the female flowers, or mostly producing<br />
female flowers.<br />
- Dissolve Urea 500 grams +D.I. GROW Red 200 cc + 10 liters of water per tree.<br />
- Flush the solution around the plate of palm trees, the range from the stem tip of the<br />
palm tree is 0.5 meter.<br />
- Then, make solution of D.I. GROW Red again with a concentration of 250 cc + 15<br />
liters of water (1 spraying tank). Spray the solution on male flowers, stems and leaves<br />
evenly wet.<br />
- Within 15 days, the male flowers will fall out and be easy to be taken out, and then<br />
female flowers will grow on the new midrib. When the trees are high enough, the D.I.<br />

• Make a drilling hole on the plant stem with ±10 cm in depth, the drilling height<br />
from the land surface is 60-80 cm from the land surface, and the drilling position is<br />
