<strong>Clamping</strong> knob mounting can be achieved with M10, M12, M16 and M20 threads. Three types of<br />

<strong>Clamping</strong> <strong>knobs</strong> are provided, types A, B and C. The B and C forms are used for multiple <strong>Clamping</strong><br />

chuck applications.<br />

• Centering <strong>Clamping</strong> knob type A: ensures position-accuracy at the requested tolerance.<br />

The UNILOCK <strong>Clamping</strong> knob connects the<br />

<strong>Clamping</strong> chuck to the work piece or the device<br />

being position and held. The <strong>Clamping</strong> knob<br />

mounting method depends on the work piece<br />

weight or the machining process. The appropriate<br />

sized attachment thread needs to be used.<br />

Operation-Air connection<br />

UNILOCK <strong>chucks</strong> have two air connection possibilities.<br />

There is a threaded port one on the side and an o-ring<br />

sealed counterbored port on the bottom. UNILOCK<br />

AUTOMATION <strong>chucks</strong> have air connections from the<br />

bottom.<br />

For an essential increase of the pulling force, UNILOCK<br />

<strong>Clamping</strong> <strong>chucks</strong> offer a TURBO EFFECT over a double<br />

acting cylinder. This Effect increases clamping force,<br />

depending on the air pressure that assists the force of<br />

the springs. During a turbo-lock operation, the piston<br />

bottom is supplemented with compressed air.<br />

Basically, all UNILOCK <strong>chucks</strong> have a TURBO EFFECT<br />

when a plumbed and sealed bottom-side is provided.<br />

The ESM 138 with a body diameter of 138mm is the<br />

most flexible chuck of the UNILOCK family. This chuck<br />

diameter is well suited for quick changing vices and<br />

other common work holding components.<br />

holes provide for stable chuck mounting. Positioning<br />

MLM 150 ‚The little light one‘<br />

Four adjustment slots 20H6 (90° shifted) allow the<br />

Mono-<strong>Clamping</strong>-Station-Light to be quickly positioning on<br />

T-slot tables. Chucks are installed individual and connected<br />

via a side air connection. With single MLM 150<br />

applications, orientation requires an external timing<br />

feature. Additional MLM 150 clamping chuck can be<br />

used to create an array and provide orientation.<br />

This Automation chuck is the largest of the UNILOCK<br />

Automation <strong>chucks</strong> and is especially suited for the use<br />

in heavy machining. Supporting pallets up to a size of<br />

1000x1000mm/39,370“x39,370“ or until a weight of<br />

10 tons, this chuck offers safeness, force and accuracy<br />

in the turning and milling area. The blow-off pneumatic<br />

cycle can optionally be used to monitor pallet presence.<br />
