Clamping knob mounting can be achieved with M10, M12, M16 and M20 threads. Three types of 

Clamping knobs are provided, types A, B and C. The B and C forms are used for multiple Clamping 

chuck applications. 

• Centering Clamping knob type A: ensures position-accuracy at the requested tolerance. 

• Balanced Clamping knob type B: established orientation about the type A knob 

(Diamond pin). 

• Clearance Clamping knob type C: clamps without centering at the requested clearance.

Clamping knob 

The UNILOCK Clamping knob connects the 

Clamping chuck to the work piece or the device 

being position and held. The Clamping knob 

mounting method depends on the work piece 

weight or the machining process. The appropriate 

sized attachment thread needs to be used. 

Body 

UNILOCK Clamping chucks are manufactured in 

different versions, according to their application.

Slide Wedges 

Solid slide wedges are made out of high-tensile 

steel. They are hardened as well for a save locking

Clamping ring 

The high-precision, play-free UNILOCK Automation 

Clamping rings are made out of hardened steel and 

suitable for solid applications. 

Body 

UNILOCK Automation chucks are manufactured in

Slide Wedges 

Solid slide wedges are made out of high-tensile 

steel and hardened for a save locking function of 

the Clamping knob. 

Piston 

The UNILOCK piston includes high-quality sealing 

elements and knee lever operation, which ensures 

a balanced movement of the slide wedges. 

 

 

 

 

Springs 

Springs made out of fatigue-resisting quality steel 

ensure the preservation of clamping force without 

air pressure assistance. 

Operation-Air connection 

UNILOCK chucks have two air connection possibilities. 

There is a threaded port one on the side and an o-ring 

sealed counterbored port on the bottom. UNILOCK 

AUTOMATION chucks have air connections from the 

bottom. 

For an essential increase of the pulling force, UNILOCK 

Clamping chucks offer a TURBO EFFECT over a double 

acting cylinder. This Effect increases clamping force, 

depending on the air pressure that assists the force of 

the springs. During a turbo-lock operation, the piston 

bottom is supplemented with compressed air. 

Basically, all UNILOCK chucks have a TURBO EFFECT 

when a plumbed and sealed bottom-side is provided.

ESM 138 ‚Jack of all trades‘ 

The ESM 138 with a body diameter of 138mm is the 

most flexible chuck of the UNILOCK family. This chuck 

diameter is well suited for quick changing vices and 

other common work holding components. 

This chuck addresses almost all clamping applications 

in the world.

Because of its expedient thru hole of 61mm/2.401”, the 

HSM 196 works perfectly when attached to the spindle

With its central clearance passage, workpieces can be 

sunken into the fixturing to reduce projection lengths.

is possible on any grid plate by using a dia. 12mm/.472“

MLM 150 ‚The little light one‘ 

Four adjustment slots 20H6 (90° shifted) allow the 

Mono-Clamping-Station-Light to be quickly positioning on 

T-slot tables. Chucks are installed individual and connected 

via a side air connection. With single MLM 150 

applications, orientation requires an external timing 

feature. Additional MLM 150 clamping chuck can be 

used to create an array and provide orientation.
