1950s. She lived first in Mill Valley and eventually retired to Carmel, CA in the mid
1960s. Emma E. Opey, contractor, remodeled the artist’s home in Carmel and acquired
the present work directly from Oehler. Provenance: Emma E. Opey, Carmel, CA,
grandmother of the present owner, acquired directly from the artist; by descent in the
family to the present owner. Visual: Generally good condition. A few flecks of paint
loss in the upper right corner and the lower left quadrant. Blacklight: No evidence of
