REWARDS IN HEAVEN:<br />
TIME: Given when Christ returns for His bride at the Rapture (Rev. 22:12; 1 Cor. 4:5)<br />
PLACE: In the air (1 Thess. 4:17) at the Judgment Seat of Christ<br />
The Christian faces the Judgment Seat of Christ (the BEMA) for rewards. (2 Cor.<br />
5:10; Rom. 14:10; 1 Cor. 3:13)<br />
This judgment is not for salvation, but for REWARDS according to the<br />
faithfulness of work and service to God.<br />
Old Testament: (Isa. 40:10-11; Isa. 62:11-12; Jer. 17:10)<br />
New Testament: (Matt. 5:12; 6:4; 10:41-42) No task done for God is insignificant<br />
or unnoticed. Rewards will be fulfilling and satisfying.<br />
There are degrees of rewards for believers. (Matt. 11:20-24; Luke 12:47-48; John 19:11)<br />
Every good thing a believer does for the Lord will be rewarded. (Eph. 6:8)<br />
Good works done for the Lord must be done willingly. (1 Cor. 9:17)<br />
Good works will be tried by fire (1 Cor. 3:11-15). Preoccupation with possessions,<br />
prestige, position, & popularity will be burned as wood, hay, & stubble.<br />
