Inside the Sewing Kit Inside the sewing kit is a heart shaped pin cushion, flat pockets for needle books, marking pencils, a thimble, cards of buttons and a small pair of embroidery scissors. The gathered pockets toward the bottom hold spools of thread. There is a hand screened 12 inch ruler along one side. The whole kit is a pocket because the inside and outside are separate. Small sewing projects can go into this pocket and it can be hung on a hook by the loop at the top. The kit ties closed with a ribbon.
