flames <strong>of</strong> fire proper, a lion ramp<strong>an</strong>t between two estoiles <strong>of</strong> six points <strong>of</strong> the field, 2nd<br />

gr<strong>an</strong>d quarter counterquartered, 1 <strong>an</strong>d 4, ermine, a m<strong>an</strong>'s heart proper, on a chief<br />

Crowthorne, Berkshire in 1946.<br />

George Richard Balston, DSO, RFA, who was the 3rd son <strong>of</strong> R.J. Balston <strong>of</strong><br />

Maidstone.<br />
