BOURBON Adrian Philip de Bourbon, KLJ, LLB, SC, of Highlands, Harare. Son of the late Prince Gaetano de Bourbon. Born 1948, married 20/3/1976, Linda Rose Idensohn, and has issue one son and one daughter. A descendant of King Ferdinand II of Naples and the Two Sicilies. Quarterly, 1st and 4th, azure, three fleurs-de-lys Or within a bordure gules (NEW ANJOU), 2nd and 3rd, quarterly per saltire, Or, four palets gules (Aragon) and argent, an eagle displayed sable (Hohenstaufen)(SICILY) (Rietstap et al) NB. The family is entitled to a total of 19 quarterings but for many reasons such a display is often impractical. BRICKLEY George Clifford Brickley formerly of Gwelo (Gweru). Per chevron flory counter-flory argent and sable, three martlets counterchanged. (Govt. Register No. 372) BRIDGE Sir Charles Henry Bridge, KCMG, CB. Served in Rhodesia in 1896 (brevet Col.) and Director of Transport, S. African Field Force 1899 - 1900. Younger son of the Rev. Thomas Hobday Finch Bridge, Archdeacon of Newfoundland and Labrador (b. 1807, d. 1856). Born 16/6/1852, married 11/4/1885, Elizabeth Dorcas, daughter of Sir Edward Morris, KCB, and died 18/7/1926. Azure, issuant from the centre of a bar wavy of water proper in the nombril point a bridge of three arches embattled argent, masoned sable, the whole between as many sea lions each crowned with a naval coronet Or. (BLG, 1952) BROCKLEBANK Major John Jasper Brocklebank, DSO, formerly of Greenthwaite Farm, Gatooma (Kadoma). Born 5/9/1875, died 26/2/1942. Second son of Sir Thomas Brocklebank, 2nd Baronet. Argent, three brocks proper each upon a mount vert, on a chief azure as many escallops of the field. (BP 1953) BROCKLEHURST Peter Orme Brocklehurst, formerly of the Charter District. Farmer and philanthropist. Born 25/9/1886, arrived in Rhodesia in 1910 and died in Salisbury (Harare) on 28/4/1977. Married (in England) Marie Ann Johnson (née Kobler), 1919 (who died 11/1/1960). Son of Alfred Brocklehurst and Florence Jane, daughter of Gen. Sir Archibald Little, GCB. Per pale argent and sable, three chevronels engrailed between as many brocks all counterchanged. (FDAF) BROMLEY iMajor Rupert Howe Bromley, formerly of Makori, P.O. Glendale, son of Rear-Adm. Sir Arthur Bromley, KCMG, CVO. (see Bromley-Wilson, Bart.) Quarterly, 1st and 4th, argent, three wolves' heads couped sable vulned in the neck proper (WILSON), 2nd and 3rd, quarterly per fess indented gules and Or. (BLG 1952) 13
