Why use ASCE? • Versatility : • ASCE can be used to produce a safety case for a full site, such as a Defence Munitions site or even a Naval Base , with all the complexities that running such a wide ranging site brings , or it can be used to produce a safety case for a single item whether that item is a kettle, a fighter aircraft, a warship or a weapons system. It can also be used across an organisation, whereby various safety information is shared by links to : joint libraries for shared publications, other safety cases e.g. weapons safety cases in support of a site safety case, or individual certification. 7
