larger denomination dispenser is available. Remember – the Make Best <strong>Change</strong> will try to dispense from<br />

the larger dispenser first.<br />

The first step (7) will set the ten’s digit (of the two digit number), the second step (8) will be used to set<br />

the second digit. The Forced Dispense amount can be from 0 to 99. Use the parameter table below to set<br />

the TENS DIGIT as well as the ONES DIGIT for this feature.<br />

Example: A nickel coin dispenser and a quarter coin dispenser are present. You would like to force at<br />

least 5 nickels to be dispensed for every bill deposited. In the MBCM, the vend would consist of only<br />

quarters. To change this you would set the nickel dispenser to be the Primary device and set the Forced<br />

Dispense to 5. The dispense would then consist of the Forced Dispense amount or 5 nickels, and the rest<br />

would be issued in quarters. Note – the forced dispense only forces from the Primary device.<br />

Forced Dispense Override (Feature Type = Machine)<br />

• Default Settings = OFF<br />

This feature allows the machine to ignore the Forced Dispense Feature setting under special deposit<br />

circumstances. The special circumstance occurs when the deposit is Equal To an available dispenser. If<br />

the value of the amount deposited matches a dispenser value, a dispense is issued from that dispenser.<br />

In this way the dispenser value overrides (ignores) the Forced Dispense Feature setting. Note: this<br />

feature is rarely implemented as it typically not necessary to accommodate the desired vend responses.<br />

Example: Feature Settings are set to: Primary Device (Dispenser)= $.05 (nickel hopper), Secondary<br />

Device (Dispenser) = $1.00 ($1 coin hopper or bill dispenser), and Forced Dispense Feature setting =<br />

20.<br />

$1 accepted: Payout is 0 from the Primary Device and 1 from the Secondary Device.<br />

Note: The forced Dispense Feature would normally force 20 nickels to be dispensed.<br />

$5 accepted: Payout is 20 from the Primary Device and 4 from the Secondary Device.<br />

Accumulate (Feature Type = Machine)<br />

• Default Settings = Disabled<br />

When this feature is enabled, a dispense will not occur until enough money has been accepted to meet or<br />

exceed the value of the PRIMARY DEVICE. Make Best <strong>Change</strong> will then occur.<br />

Dispenser Type (Feature Type = Device)<br />

• Default Settings = Coin<br />

This feature is only necessary if you wish to convert a dispenser from one type (say a regular coin –<br />

quarter) to a token type (say a .984 token). Changing this feature can greatly alter how your machine<br />

works. Valid dispenser types are: Coin, token, bill, ticket and card.<br />
