how much does breathing
we take care of the air you breathe
PERISO SA, aware of the ethical value of existence
and in respect for the environment, has set itself the
objective of improving the quality of life revitalising
the unhealthy air of indoor environments.
It is a well known fact that closed places contain
a concentration of polluting substances decidedly
higher than outside and unfortunately, the more
modern the building, the higher the pollution potential
is.
In closed environments reports are increasingly
frequent of symptoms such as headache, irritation
of the eyes, nose and throat, dizziness or nausea,
concentration difficulty, fatigue, colds, most of which
disappear or are alleviated outdoors. The quality of
the air is a fundamental requirement when working in
an environment in which we want to obtain and retain
the integrity of the processes.
In critical environments like hospitals, laboratories,
dental clinics, test centres, veterinary clinics the safety
of the therapies largely depends on air contamination
control.
These hyper-specialistic requirements are met by
Periso with the design and production of sophisticated
air quality control and adjustment systems.
Periso’s innovative technology is based on the
principle of “controlled bipolar ionization” able
to keep the right proportion between positive and
negative ions. This proportion has a big effect on our
health and organism and is the most effective air
purification system. Ionisation is generated in nature
as a result of natural sources of energy like lightning,
waterfalls, sea waves which, producing positive and
negative ions have revitalising effects on the air.
BENEFITS OF THE TECHNOLOGY
Reducing the viruses, bacteria and micro-organisms
present in indoor environments, Periso purifiers
represent a barrier against the invisible assailants in
the air.
Periso SA’s air purification line has a range of ionizers
with different features in relation to the volume of the
room to be cleaned and the type of activity carried out
there.
The big advantage of Periso’s technology is
represented by the possibility to balance the ionic
production system on the basis of the specific
application requirements. In addition, Periso
purifiers can be installed and integrated in climate
control systems determining a healthy balance and
physiological well-being conditions for the persons in
the ionized environment.
With Periso well-being is in the air.
how does
bipolar ionization act ?
contaminated particle
purified particle
Example of how viruses and bacteria are deactivated
through bipolar ionization: Positive ions H+ (H2O)n and
negative ones O2¯(H2O)n (cluster of ions) surround
the outer surface of contaminants like fungi, moulds
and bacteria reacting rapidly and generating hydroxil
radicals (OH) capable of oxidising organic molecules,
withdrawing hydrogen from the outer wall of the
particle to form water (H2O), deactivating it, through
the opening of slits in the membrane.
dangers of particulate
Particulate, or PM, is a mixture of solid particles and
micro droplets suspended in the air.
Some of them like dust, dirt or soot are
visible to the naked eye. Others are so small
they can be seen only with the microscope.
Environments with high levels of cleaning
and sterility require highly efficient filtration
systems called HEPA. These filters, however, though
they trap particles with a diameter below 0.3 µm,
cannot ensure the elimination of micro-organisms
like viruses and bacteria which are much smaller in
size.
The micro-organisms proliferate in the filters
releasing pollutants in the environments and
risk originating endotoxins, which are a health
hazard, and spread the so-called nosocomial
diseases in hospitals.
Periso’s controlled bipolar ionization technology
neutralises viruses, bacteria and micro-organisms.
