BEMACRON
Disperse dyes for polyester
POlYESTER
> All-rounD ApplicAtion
Polyester is one of the most widely used
textile fibre today and its place in the
market is unchallenged. Clothing and
sportswear, uniforms and protective suits,
technical textiles – polyester fibres have
an extremely wide scope of application.
Often used in blends with natural fibres
or elastane to give the fabric strength,
form stability and special effects. Brilliant
colours can be achieved, bringing emotions
to textile articles.
> All-rounD chAllenges
Just as extensive as its use are the challenges
to be overcome in its processing
and especially in its dyeing. Countless
forms, different processes and machines
as well as a wide range of requirements
make huge demands upon the dyes.
> All-rounD solutions
The all-round challenges associated with
its use cannot be overcome with just a few
basic dyes. Basic dyes cannot meet the
high requirements. All-round challenges
demand all-round solutions – a range
of all-round disperse dyes provides the
answer.

diSPERSE dYES
> the complex nAture of
polyester Dyeing
different types of polyester exhibit different
dyeing characteristics which must be taken
into account. When dyeing in a long bath,
the disperse dyes should be exhausted
and fixed evenly and quickly, while during
yarn dyeing they are also subjected to high
shear forces. in the thermosol process at
temperatures every second is important.
Special BEMACRON ranges and selections
allow you to make the right choice of dye for
every application.
BemAcron hp
Saponifiable disperse dyes with the highest
washing fastness. Any dye adhering to the
fibre surface is readily saponified under the
slightly alkaline conditions of domestic
washing and split into water-soluble and
low-affinity fractional parts so that virtually no
soiling of accompanying materials takes place.
The minimum dyeing temperature is 130 °C.
BemAcron hp-ltD
New generation of BEMACRON HP dyes
which achieve the best washing fastness
under slightly alkaline conditions due to
their soapability. in contrast to conventional
BEMACRON HP dyes, the dyes of the
BEMACRON HP-lTd (low temperature
dyeing) range can be used for dyeing in
dark shades at 120 °C. They are therefore
particularly suitable for fibre blends such
as PES/elastane which are sensitive to
temperature. All BEMACRON HP-lTd
dyes have excellent dispersion stability and
are therefore very suitable for dyeing yarn on
cross-wound bobbins. As a result problems
with oligomer formation can be avoided due
to the lower dyeing temperature.
BemAcron sel
Fluorescent dyes with a very bright blue
supplementary element. BEMACRON SEl-EN
dyes were developed especially for the specifications
of EN 471 for the manufacture of
warning garments and achieve the approved
shades as standard dyeings. All the dyes in
the BEMACRON SEl range can achieve all
the specified shades of EN 1150 for the
non-professional range from pink to bright
green. Hence the dyes are ideal for fashion
sports and leisure clothing.
BemAcron rs
universal rapid-dyeing range for the exhaust
process with high colour build-up. With their
fast bath exhaustion and excellent levelling
properties, the BEMACRON RS dyes permit
the use of very short dyeing processes with
good levelling and reproducibility performance.
All BEMACRON RS dyes have an excellent
dispersion stability and are therefore very
suitable for dyeing cross-wound bobbins.
BemAcron thermosol selection
Special selection for continuous dyeing with
good sublimation fastness and good fine
distribution for speck-free dyeing. in addition
to the main trichromie elements BEMACRON
Yellow Brown S-2RFl, BEMACRON Rubine
S-2gFl, BEMACRON Blue HP-3R and
BEMACRON Navy S-2gl there is a wide
range of shading components.
BemAcron lightfast selection
The BEMACRON lightfast selection includes
dyes with very high light fastness, which
can be combined with one another without
destruction of the dye by catalytic fading.
A very high light fastness level is achieved,
even on critical polyester types, such as
microfibres for example.
BemAcron s
Standard dyes, sublimation-fast, with good
cost-benefit ratio.
BemAcron se
Easily combinable basic dyes.
BemAcron e
Small-molecule dyes with good migration
power. Can be dyed in light and medium
shades at boiling temperature with a dye
accelerator. Very suitable for dyeing PES/WO
blends due to the high reduction stability.

BEMACRON advisor
progrAm for polyester
Dyeing
The optimum use of the BEMACRON
disperse dyes is guaranteed by the
BEMACRON advisor optimisation program.
Taking the kinetic properties of the
individual dyes into account, the program
directs you to the right dye selection,
calculates the optimum temperature time
relationship and generates a harmonised
dyeing formula.
For exhaust dyeing the fixing level/time for
each dye and the basic parameters of the
dyeing process are shown. An optimised
dyeing curve and the necessary quantities
of auxiliaries are suggested for the proposed
dye formulation.
For continuous dyeing, the program
calculates a thermosol curve (fixing level
shown relative to time) for the selected
dye. Temperature control can be used to
determine the optimum temperature for
the dye formulation. The program suggests
a optimised formulation.
