Calling all artists! Thrive Art School’s
experienced teachers can teach anyone
to draw using a guided, step-by-step
approach. Come and draw animals,
people, vehicles, landscapes and more!
Experiment with oil pastels, chalk
pastels, acrylic paint, watercolor and
design markers. One artist, anywhere
from age 3 1/2-adult, can experience one
month of Thrive art classes during the
academic year.

aficionado Sheila Raff at Vertical World in
Seattle. This brand new space features
incredible climbs for beginners and
experienced climbers alike. No need
to worry about climbing shoes and
harnesses, rentals are included! Feel
confident to scale new heights while
experienced staff help manage two ropes
for your group. Replenish energy during
your climb with beverages and yummy
snacks!

This sweet neighborhood fabric shop
is a creative haven for experienced and
novice sewing enthusiasts alike. Cheerful,
vibrant, high quality textiles line the walls
and provide the perfect inspiration for
quilting, home decorating, and clothing
creations. Unique trims, notions, books,
and patterns are available to complete
your work of art. At the West Seattle
Fabric Company they believe sewing
doesn’t have to be fussy, so come and
see how fun a fabric store can be. Your
child and seven friends will learn to sew
and create something fun, like pajama
bottoms or a tote bag, at a West Seattle
Fabric Co. Sewing Party. If guests are ages
6 - 8, the party will feature hand sewing.
If children are ages 8 and up, guests will
learn machine sewing. The package
includes sewing instruction, a sewing
craft book, and a gift basket of assorted
fabric, trims and supplies.
