Day Therapeutic T’ai Chi

For those who are looking to learn T’ai Chi

from the beginning and who have increased difficulty

with balance, fatigue, and flexibility. T’ai Chi is

mindful movement that can increase flexibility, reduce

stress and increase relaxation. It’s also good for those

who have arthritis or diabetes. Instructors Jen Cillo

and Patti Douglas are trained in Therapeutic T’ai Chi.

T’ai Chi - Beginning

The Yang Simplified 24 Posture Short Form

is a popular T’ai Chi form practiced in China and the

US. It’s easy to learn, and a nice introduction to the

exciting world of T’ai Chi. Mary Foster, instructor.

Qigong

A forerunner to T’ai Chi and other martial

arts, Qigong is a 5000 year-old Chinese system for

cultivating health. Students learn to use movement,

breath, sounds, visualization and meditation to improve

the flow of “qi,” or life-energy.

Yoga

The instructor’s supportive and encouraging

teaching style draws from the Sivananda, Kripalu,

Iyengar and Ashtanga traditions. The goal is to build a

balanced practice that strengthens the body, quiets the

mind and opens the heart.

Patti Douglas’s gentle approach to yoga is effective

for both new and continuing students. Reconnect
