OLYMP-A-THON UPDATE
Thank you to those students who have returned their sponsorship money. The total amount raised so far
is an outstanding $11,185.65.
There is still a substantial amount of money to be returned; therefore the due date has been extended to
this Friday 7 September. Please try to return funds by this date as prizes need to be allocated.
The race is very close for the winning classes in K-2 and 3-6.
6J is leading the Primary classes with $1,108 and 1J is leading the Infants race with $735 so far.

MIND MARATHON
Selected Year 5 and 6 Boys represented Holsworthy Public School in the East Hills Boys High School
Mind Marathon on Monday 29 August 2012. Students worked in teams and participated in a day of
challenging activities including: English, Maths, Science, General Knowledge and Above and Beyond (a
design and make problem solving activity). Congratulations to all the boys on their efforts on the day. A
Year 6 team came 1 st and a Year 5 team came 2 nd . Excellent results by all participants.
