Pen<strong>in</strong>sula Sunrise Rotary Club<br />

<strong>The</strong> Pen<strong>in</strong>sula Sunrise Rotary Club was chartered<br />

<strong>in</strong> April 1988. In the years s<strong>in</strong>ce that time, the<br />

club has met weekly at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and<br />

to hear a speaker at the Waterfront Restaurant at<br />

Pete’s Harbor <strong>in</strong> <strong>Redwood</strong> City. <strong>The</strong> club, with<br />

22 members, has frequently been honored as an<br />

outstand<strong>in</strong>g small club by Rotary District 5150,<br />

which <strong>in</strong>cludes San Mateo, San Francisco and part<br />

Rebuild<strong>in</strong>g Together Pen<strong>in</strong>sula<br />

RTP is a <strong>Redwood</strong> City nonprofit that provides<br />

disabilities throughout the Pen<strong>in</strong>sula. RTP’s<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Redwood</strong> City Art Center promotes creativity<br />

<strong>The</strong>se recreational and tournament-level senior<br />

men and women play slow-pitch softball all year<br />

long. Membership is open to anyone at least 50<br />

players are <strong>in</strong> their 60s and 70s and still go<strong>in</strong>g<br />

strong. Club members play every Tuesday,<br />
