1. Call to Order
Craig Robertson served as chair for the meeting. Notice of meeting was sent out in
accordance with the EP Alberta Chapter Charter. It was stated that there was not a
quorum of EP members in attendance. As there was not quorum the meeting was
constituted for information only with the Roberts’ Rues of Order to be followed. The
meeting was called at 2:55 pm.
2. Executive Chair’s Report
Craig Robertson delivered the Executive Chair’s report. The previous AGM was held on
February 25, 2011 in Calgary. Since that time the executive had met four times, being
September 26, 2011, January 23, 2012 and August 23, 2012. One EP social event was
held in November 2011. The EP Executive has prepared an EP Chapter Purpose and
Strategy, EP Alberta Charter and are currently working on preparing Bylaws.
The EP membership has been active with Connecting Environmental Professionals; the
Environmental Bridging Program; Green Careers; and supporting of ECO Canada training
sessions.
3. Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer was not able to attend the meeting. Craig Robertson delivered the
Treasurer’s report.
The EP Chapter bank account was opened in January 2012. A deposit of $549.50 was
made on February 28, 2012. The funds were raised at the November social in Calgary.
ECO Canada held the funds until we were able to open a Chapter account.
Expenses for the year totaled $73.53 for a January 2012 ECO Canada social event. Bank
charged accounted for the majority of account activity at $4/month. As at September
30, 2012, our balance is $440.41.
4. Election of Executive
There not being quorum it was not possible to conduct the election for members of the
executive.
