OUR COACHES AND STAFF<br />
DICK HAWLEY - Scouting<br />
Hawley is the Chief Scout for the team. He has over 20 years experience coaching girl's athletics .<br />
If you are an opponent on <strong>Hopkins</strong>' schedule, you will see his distinguished pr<strong>of</strong>ile in the stands at<br />
one <strong>of</strong> your games . Dick's scouting reports have contributed greatly to the team's ability to prepare<br />
for an opponent . During the day, Dick is a consultant designing voice/data networks, and healthcare<br />
s<strong>of</strong>tware applications .<br />
CHUCK CHALMERS - 9th Grade Coach<br />
Chuck Chalmers is in his second year with the <strong>Hopkins</strong> girls basketball program . Previously he has<br />
coached in both the <strong>Hopkins</strong> boys and girls traveling basketball programs, AAU basketball teams,<br />
and is an <strong>of</strong>ficial <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Hopkins</strong> <strong>Girls</strong> <strong>Basketball</strong> Association .<br />
CHUCK BURMEISTER - Video Coordinator<br />
Chuck Burmeister, in his eighth year with the Royals, is the video coordinator for the team .<br />
Burmeister oversees the videotaping <strong>of</strong> games, editing scouting tapes, and the production <strong>of</strong><br />
highlight and promotional videos . Coach "B", a third grade teacher at Meadowbrook Elementary, has<br />
previously coached boys basketball at Breck <strong>School</strong> and was an assistant coach for <strong>Hopkins</strong> girls<br />
basketball for seven seasons . Chuck and his wife, Brenda, have twin boys, Trace and Brandon .<br />
DARRELL HART - Off-Season Coach<br />
Darrell Hart is a volunteer who helps by coaching and organizing <strong>Hopkins</strong> girls basketball teams during<br />
spring/fall leagues and special summer tournaments . During the season, Darrell operates the scoreboard<br />
for <strong>Hopkins</strong> home basketball games . A former graduate assistant basketball coach at Michigan<br />
State, <strong>Hopkins</strong> is fortunate to have the services <strong>of</strong> a volunteer like Darrell .<br />
JOAN OPITZ - Statistician<br />
Joan has been the <strong>of</strong>ficial statistician for the girls team for seven years . She has been a dedicated<br />
and loyal supporter <strong>of</strong> girls' athletics for many years . Joan and her husband Mike have four children .<br />
