Under development on a mountainside plot of approximately twelve acres, the

Woodside is a group of luxury villas located on the periphery of Kasauli town in the

district of Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by tall pines and old oak trees, the

gently sloping plot is reached by a quiet country road and is designed to complement

the natural wilderness of the area and to conserve natural resources. Comprising

35 luxurious holiday homes of four distinct types with a large clubhouse, this gated

development is entirely self-contained and includes a host of modern amenities to

ensure the comfort, privacy and security of residents.

All the villas in the Woodside development provide residents with generous and

luxurious living spaces, enhanced by specially designed folding full-length door

shutters that open into the lawns, plunge pool decks, pergolas or balconies. These

allow fresh mountain air to circulate through each villa and off er stunning views of the

hills, valleys and snow-capped Himalayas in the distance.

Each villa will have a high quality fi nish, with tiled sloping roofs, dressed stone exterior

walls and hardwood decks. In addition to the dining and living areas, each villa will

include a fi nished modular kitchen with granite counter tops and double sinks and

separate staff quarters. Villa interiors include dressed stone walls and wooden ceilings

in some rooms, a fi replace, wooden fl ooring and bathrooms appointed with imported

marble fl ooring and high quality fi xtures. This is complemented by state-of-the-art,

low-energy consumption electrical fi ttings. Optional features include a Bose Lifestyle

Series home theatre system, and a Lutron lighting control system.

The largest villa model, ‘The Ashoka’, is placed on the higher contours of the site.

These villas have three bedrooms with bathrooms en suite and a study or games

room across two levels. Spacious balconies and a large pool deck ensure residents 360

degree views of the mountains. Completing the layout is a plunge pool, which can be

equipped with heating if desired, and a covered parking bay. ‘The Banyan’ villas are

nestled in the valley below the internal road and off er three bedrooms across three

levels. These villas off er 180 degree views in front, and incorporate a covered parking

bay, balconies and pergola. The two-level ‘Chinar’ villas have two bedrooms on the

upper level, each with a balcony, while the lower level comprises the entertainment

and activity spaces, which open out onto a large deck and a small private lawn. ‘The

Deodar’ villas have three levels, with the main entrance on the highest level. Two

bedrooms, each with a spacious balcony, occupy the lower level, while the dining and

living areas and kitchen are on the middle level.

The complex will include several recreational facilities including a pavilion, a

fully functional clubhouse with landscaped grounds and 360 degree views of the

surrounding mountain ranges, an outdoor swimming pool, gym and sauna, yoga

room, billiards room and lounge or reading room for residents and their guests, as

well as a fl ood-lit tennis court. In addition, security and maintenance staff will be

available on the site at all times, there will be a dormitory for drivers and additional

staff , and several parking bays all over the complex in addition to private villa parking.
