William Bowen, who married a daughter <strong>of</strong> Dr. Priestley's son, Joseph,
came to Cradley in 1828, and was for 22 years minister <strong>of</strong> this society ;
when, after a few years at Kingswood Chapel, he emigrated to Australia.
His son, Aubrey (d. 1893)-
acquired a great reputation as an opthalmic surgeon, and became one <strong>of</strong>
<strong>the</strong> recognised leaders in that speciality in Australia, his practice not being
confined to his own colony, but extending to Tasmania and New South
Wales."
The sweet memories <strong>of</strong> William Cochrane, and- <strong>of</strong> his long, happy
ministry here, are still fresh in <strong>the</strong> place.
The pewter communion plate consists <strong>of</strong>-Chalices (2), pewter, s%ins.
