Solar PV Insurance
Service Contract

For your customers, their PV installation is a
valuable possession.
Unfortunately, it can occur that their PV in-
stallation becomes damaged or gets stolen.
Replacing or repairing the PV installation
involves costs that your customers may not
have accounted for. Moreover, their installa-
tion does not produce energy in the repair
period and your customer will lose revenue.
As an installer, you can secure your custom-
ers’ investment and revenue by offering a
service contract for cleaning, repairs and
maintenance with a Solar PV Insurance from
Solar Insurance & Finance.
Solar PV Insurance Service Contract covers
damage caused by weather conditions, fire
and theft and compensates the loss of pro-
duction.
You can extend the insurance with the op-
tion ‘Inherent defect and warranty’, that
backs up the warranty, even if the manufac-
turer no longer exists.
Solar PV Insurance Service Contract
The Solar PV Insurance Service Contract compensates:
1. Costs from material damage due to external causes, e.g.
Natural forces such as hail, snow pressure, frost, wind and storm
Theft and vandalism
Lightning strike, overvoltage, induction and fire
Gnawing of cables by animals
We compensate new materials, labor costs and call out charges. We
also compensate additional costs, such as costs for detecting and
locating the damage and transport and storage costs of parts that
have to be repaired elsewhere.
2. Loss of production
If your customers’ installation is decommissioned due to a damage,
you receive a compensation for the loss of production for a maximum
of 26 or 52 consecutive weeks, with which you can compensate your
customers’ loss of production.
April - September € 2.50 per kilowatt peak installed capacity
October - March € 1.50 per kilowatt peak installed capacity
Option ‘Inherent defect and warranty’
You can extend the Solar PV Insurance and the Solar PV Insurance Ser-
vice Contract with the option ‘Inherent defect and warranty’. With this
your client is covered against damage caused by an inherent defect from
your solar modules (up to 20 years) and inverters (up to 7.5 years).
You are also covered within the warranty period in case you have a
legitimate claim and the manufacturer no longer exists because of bank-
ruptcy, rejects the claim or disputes his liability. This option is only avail-
able by use of Solar Insurance certified materials. Read more about this
