Fayrstede, now one house,
was at one time divided into
four.
Interspersed between the cottages are larger buildings. Again reliable dating
is difficult without survey but some, such as the Swan, are timber-framed ,
probably 17 th century, but later re-fronted in brick resulting in an 18 th century
appearance. Others, such as the adjoining Green Man, appear to be of brick
storeys, plus an attic and cellar
