The perfect wedding venue in Northumberland
A short while ago, we had a dream; a dream of a
fantasmagorical place where all that is uncool about the
traditional country house can be left behind and replaced by
all that is fun and imaginative. Located just 50 minutes north
of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and 90 minutes South of Edinburgh,
Newton Hall is now one of the UK’s most talked about
destinations.
Our spectacular coastal location, designated by the National
Trust as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, means you
can enjoy a host of coastal activities from the seriously sedate
to the sporting extreme at Newton Hall’s very own Coastal
Adventure Academy.

The Hall is the romantic heart of the estate, its historic
splendor combined with a bold, romantic and fantastical
interior makes The Hall the perfect choice for an enchanted
wedding.
Ideal choice for a smaller wedding, where an intimate and
sophisticated house party feel is preferred. The Hall is also the
perfect venue for a fun filled drinks reception for larger
wedding parties who move on to the Garden Suite.

heart is through their stomach .Our kitchen elves have
been parachuted in from Newcastle’s famed As You Like
I t (The Observer’s 7th Sexiest Restaurant in the World
) and they create everything from vintage tea parties to
fine dining; posh finger buffets to beach picnics; hog
roasts to Asian banquets. Anything is possible, so long
as it tastes good.

Everything we do at Newton Hall is different, and that
includes the drinks. Our bars are home to everyone’s
favourites, plus plenty more you may not be familiar
with but you’ll love exploring.
- If you wish to be Tastefully traditional with a
Champagne reception followed by carefully
chosen wedding breakfast drinks and liquers,
that’s ok with us.
However, if you are looking for something different,
then why not try:
- Local & Artisan... Northumberland is home
to some of the UK’s best award-winning micro-
breweries; for beers, lagers & ciders. Perfect for
adding a local taste to your day (couples often
match this option with the Northumberland feast)
- Cocktails... Cocktails are our thing! Some
couples are choosing a Mojito for a different
reception drink, others a champagne cocktail for
the toast. Why not take our Mr and Mrs Smith
package and let us design a special cocktail for
your big day, with your name on it! We’ve had

New Forest Cosmo! (because they’re chilled

Little people are a big thing at Newton Hall. After all, isn’t
it in young heads that all the best dreams are made? We have
adjoining rooms and family suites to keep everyone happy.
Newton Hall is just as fantastical to young minds as to old –

‘We loved the fact that we could have our dogs looked after’
DOGS
Our four-legged friends are a very big deal at Newton Hall,
where our breathtaking coast and country is heaven on earth for
any creature with fur, four legs and a wet nose. From Dachsunds
to Dalmatians, Chihuahuas to Catahloula leopard dogs (yes,
really!), we love them all.
If you need doggy day care, it’s provided for your pampered
pooch by Happy Hounds (www.happy-hounds.biz), which
means you can get out and enjoy our coastal adventures without
your happy hound cramping your sporting style and it’s only 5
minutes down the road.
And if you want to include your dog in your wedding ceremony
(doesn’t everyone?) we are more than pleased to accommodate
canine guests, four-legged ring bearers and doggy guards of
honour.
Your dog can even get married at Newton Hall in one of our
special canine-friendly ceremonies. Just telephone in advance
to discuss our dog-friendly accommodation, activities and
weddings. Ruff!
