EVA & ADAM
This new hilarious, irresistible and
poetical production
by the renowned
Markus
Zohner Theatre
Company, created
and directed
by Patrizia
Barbuiani,
explores human
nature through
action, movement,
dance
and rhythm, in a
juxtaposition of
the tragic and the comic.
Eva & Adam stumble into each other’s
arms in an earthly paradise.
Two naked beings unashamed, innocent
and immortal.
Two joyful and artless clowns, free
to discover this Eden of peaceful
animals, luxuriant vegetation and
infinite skies.
All is permitted except the eating
of the first apple. Obedience in
exchange for immortality. Curiosity,
The world tour of the MARKUS ZOHNER THEATRE
COMPANY is supported by
a fertile imagination and transgression
are inherent traits of the
anarchic nature of the clown. He
must pay the price to understand
the truth.
Banished
from this
land of
perfection
and
catapulted
into the
modern
world, the
woman
Eva and
the man
Adam become automatons working,
suffering and searching for
answers in their isolation.
Meeting, falling in love, eroticism
will open another paradise to be
discovered through direct experience.
A life on earth spent together
striving to understand the nature
of good and evil until death parts
them and leads them back to the
original Paradise.
The production EVA & ADAM has won
the First Prize of Theatre Critics during
International Theatre Festival Novgorod /
Russia. The performance has received invitations
to international theatre festivals
throughout Europe, to Russia, to Lahore /
Pakistan and to Latin America.
