Volunteer of the Year: Nate

Nate is the New JAAN Volunteer

of the Year 2012 for his incredible

documentaries, tireless effort helping

JAANers and for being an advocate

for JAAN and animals wherever he

goes. Nate’s only 13 years old. Nate

shows us that you can never be too

young or too old to be dedicated to

improving the welfare of animals.

Nate was awarded a certificate of

appreciation at PawDay 2012. Nate,

you rock!

Life time achievement award

Mary Lee, a behind the scenes

volunteer at JAAN, has been helping

with communications, newsletters

and financials for 3 years. She

helped organize PawDay with Natalie

and John K. JAAN’s 3 founding

directors gave her a “Lifetime

Achievement Award,” as thats the

best we could think of; Mary Lee’s

help for JAAN and therefore for the

animals is of incredible value. Also

her sense of humor is a much

appreciated asset within JAAN! Mary

Lee you are simply the best !!

JAAN Rescues 40+ abandoned cats and dogs

The owner of the house was sick and the house hadn’t been cleaned in many

Months. 40+ animals were living in squalor, with 20 cm of poo. When the JAAN

rescue team arrived, the stench made them sick. All dogs and cats were

relocated and re-homed.
