Centura® Three Totally Different Perm Bases in One System
Stylists know that specific types of perms work better
on certain types of hair.
Acid perms produce soft, conditioned curls and are
an excellent choice for previously permed hair.
Non-thio perms containing various types of cysteine
are damage-free and exceptional on color treated
and highlighted hair.

Acid Balanced Perm with acid activator
• Produces soft, conditioned curls
• Retains the integrity of the hair while
leaving it shiny, healthy and ready for
immediate styling
• One formula for use on normal and
previously permed hair
• Wrap with water on normal hair
• Wrap with Reconstruct Leave-In
Instant Repair on previously permed
and multiple porosity hair
• Wrap hair with light to moderate
tension
Self-timing
• No test curl is required for normal hair.
However, for the most precise results, a
test curl is recommended for previously
permed and multiple porosity hair
• Place a plastic cap over wrapped rods
• Process at room temperature
• Normal hair 20 minutes
• Previously permed hair 10 - 15 minutes
• Neutralize hair for 5 minutes. Remove
rods and work neutralizer through
ends of hair for 1 minute
• Rinse thoroughly

Alkaline perms produce strong, long-lasting, true-to-rod
size curls and are excellent for fine, limp hair.
Until now, stylists have been using one perm base made
weaker or stronger for different hair types; and therefore,
may not be using the best perm base for the type of hair
being permed.
The CENTURA System allows stylists to choose the
best perm base for each hair type.
Non-Thio Perm
• Produces damage-free results with
defined long-lasting curl
• Ammonia-free formula
• One formula for use on normal, color
treated (20 volume or less,) and
highlighted (50% or less) hair
• Wrap with water on normal hair
• Wrap with Reconstruct Leave-In
Instant Repair on color treated and
highlighted hair
• Wrap hair with firm, even tension
Test Curl
• Test curl recommended on normal,
color treated, and highlighted hair
• Place a plastic cap over wrapped rods
• Process at room temperature
• Normal hair 15 - 20 minutes
• Color treated hair 10 - 15 minutes
• Highlighted hair 5 - 15 minutes
• Neutralize hair for 5 minutes. Remove
rods and work neutralizer through
ends of hair for 1 minute
• Rinse thoroughly

Buffered Alkaline Perm
• Fortified with proteins to thicken fine,
limp hair
• Produces resilient curls from scalp
to ends
• One formula for use on normal, and
fine, limp hair
• Wrap with water on normal, and
fine, limp hair
• Wrap with Reconstruct Leave-In
Instant Repair if ends of hair are
porous
• Wrap with moderate tension
Self-timing
• No test curl is required. However, for
the most precise results, a test curl
is recommended on normal, and
fine, limp hair.
