The word “boudoir” (pronounced
boo-dwahr) is French for “bedroom,”
making boudoir photography a way to
intimately capture your unique beauty.
Whether they’re meant as a gift or just
a little special something for yourself,
portraits from Urban Boudoir are
keepsakes that you can cherish forever.
Urban Boudoir has the special

through your session to achieve the
most flattering lighting and poses
to compliment your body type and
highlight your favorite attributes. There

Your session will take place where
you choose, either at Urban Boudoir’s
studio, your home, a local hotel or even
outside in a private or secluded area.
Before your photo shoot, we will have a
consultation to discuss the possibilities
and choose the location and style that
will best suit your personality and the
look of the photos that you’d like to
achieve.
Upon arriving for your photo shoot,
your photographer, Charlene, will greet
you with champagne and will go over
your plan. Most clients are a bit nervous
about their session beforehand, but
rave about how comfortable they
quickly feel with Charlene. Her talents
extend beyond the camera, as she can
help you relax and bring out your inner
confidence.

Tricks of the Trade
Here are a few tricks to help you look
(and feel) your best on the day of your
photo session.
Don’t stay up too late the night
before the shoot.
Wear false eyelashes. They may look
somewhat fake in real life, but they
will accentuate your eyes and make
a huge difference in the photos.
Drink lots of water.
Wear loose fitting clothing the
morning of your shoot. Avoid tight
fitting undergarments before the
shoot, as they can leave elastic
pressure lines on your skin.
Get a manicure and pedicure. It’s
easy to forget about your nails, but
they do show up in a lot of photos.
Polishing up is highly recommended.
While you unwind and find the
expressions that feel most natural to
you, Charlene will focus on capturing
you in the most beautiful and artistic
light. All you will need to do is have fun,
experiment with different looks, outfits
and poses and allow for spontaneous
inspirations.
Approximately three weeks after your
photo session, you will receive a DVD
in a beautiful handmade DVD case
with the best 10 images of you in both
color and black and white. Images are
delivered as high-resolution jpegs and
include full retouching.
Apply lots of lotion or oil. By keeping
your skin super moisturized, you will
create a heavenly natural glow.
Do not get a spray tan or apply fake
tanner, as the camera will enhance
the unnatural orange glow.
Hair and Makeup
It’s a good idea to pay special attention
to your hair and makeup on the day of
the shoot. Whether you do your own
hair and makeup, make appointments
with my stylist and makeup artist or
have someone else in mind, your
makeup will need to be a bit darker
than you normally wear it for the photo
shoot. If you would like Urban Boudoir
to schedule your hair and/or makeup
session, just let Charlene know. She will
coordinate your needs with her favorite
hair and makeup professionals.

Your Style
As a first step in deciding on the style for your photo session, it is best to decide
on a theme. You can have a single theme for the shoot, or change it with your
three different wardrobe options. If you are unsure of the theme you’d like for your
session, here are some ideas that you can make your own.

Your photo session is a great excuse to treat yourself to some new pretty lingerie,
jewelry and shoes. Your session will include up to three wardrobe changes to
give you a diverse selection of beautiful images. Be sure to bring clothing that
makes you feel sexy and beautiful and don’t forget to bring accessories for each
of your outfits. Jewelry and sexy shoes can be an outfit all on their own. Below is a
suggested list of wardrobe options and accessories.

In addition, the Urban Boudoir studio has various accessories, wigs, props and
backdrops that can compliment the outfits that your bring to wear.

Your Beauty & Your Privacy
Everyone has different ideas about what is sensual and beautiful. You don’t have
to take your clothes off to be sexy. Clothed, partially clothed, hinted nudity and full
nudity can all be sexy. Charlene will work within your comfort level.
Most of us don’t have bodies like what we think super models have, but we can
all have gorgeous, sexy photos of ourselves. As your photographer, it is Charlene’s
job to find and capture your unique beauty. Leave your self-judgments behind and
celebrate yourself!
It’s important to note that your privacy and confidentiality are completely protected
with Urban Boudoir. Images are only shared on our website or in other marketing
materials with your written permission. If you decide to decline to share your
images, please be assured that your photographs will be kept private.
When you are photographed by Charlene Collins Freeman of Urban Boudoir, certain
measures will be taken to keep your photos confidential. Images shared with you
for review are emailed to you directly and you alone. No photographs are shared
without your permission. Period. Urban Boudoir and Charlene Collins Freeman
grant that the photos will not be used to cause harm or indignity to you, ever.

Photo Session Options
Individual Session - $225
Individual boudoir sessions include a consultation to design your session, a one
and a half to two-hour photo shoot with champagne and three wardrobe changes.
Following your session you will receive 10 finished digital images on a DVD packaged
in a beautiful handmade case.
Couples Session - $325
Couples boudoir sessions include a consultation to design your session, a twohour
photo shoot with champagne and three wardrobe changes. Following your
session you will receive 10 finished digital images on a DVD packaged in a beautiful
handmade case.
Boudoir Party – Pricing varies by participants: 3/$750, 4/$875, 5/$1000
Boudoir party sessions include a consultation to design your session, a photo shoot
of approximately one-hour per participant, champagne and three wardrobe changes
per participant. Each participant will be photographed privately. Following your
session each participant will receive 10 finished digital images on a DVD packaged in
a beautiful handmade case.
