5.4 Memorial Park<br />
Mammals:<br />
The only native mammals found were Brush-tailed Possums <strong>and</strong> bats (Table 26). The<br />
disturbance to the bushl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> the isolation <strong>of</strong> Memorial Park from other bushl<strong>and</strong><br />
areas has prevented recolonisation <strong>of</strong> the site by native animals from elsewhere.<br />

Birds:<br />
Thiry seven species <strong>of</strong> day birds <strong>and</strong> no night birds were found in Memorial Park<br />
(Table 27). The birds comprised a mixture <strong>of</strong> medium sized canopy birds <strong>and</strong><br />
shorebirds.
