Vergun my die geleentheid om namens myself, die personeel u en u kind hartlik terug te verwelkom. Ons vertrou dat u 

as gesin ‘n aangename rustyd beleef het en dat die samesyn vir u elkeen ‘n wonderlike voorreg was. Ons glo dat u en 

u kind, net soos ons met entoesiasme na die nuwe skooljaar en nuwe uitdagings uitsien. 

‘n Besondere woord van welkom aan al ons graad 8-leerders en hul ouers, asook die groot groep leerders en ouers 

wat vir die eerste keer by Curro Roodeplaat aangesluit het. Die vertroue word uitgespreek dat u en u kind se belewing 

van ons skool ‘n aangename ervaring sal wees en dat u gou tuis sal voel en sal inskakel by ons skool en sy 

aktiwiteite. Ons wil u graag ontmoet en as vennote in die opvoeding en onderwys van u kind by ons skoolgemeenskap 

betrek. 

Curro Roodeplaat is 'n gemeenskap van leerders, personeel en ouers met uitnemendheid as die ideaal. Ons strewe is 

om te waag; om dinge anders en nuut te doen en om 'n verskil te maak vir alle rolspelers. 

Voorts strewe Roodeplaat daarna om die behoudende Christelike opvoedingsmilieu te handhaaf. As Hoërskool skep 

ons ‘n uitnodigende onderwysgemeenskap met legio geleenthede vir individualiteit sodat elkeen dit kan bereik waarin 

hy glo.

learners that have joined Curro Roodeplaat for the first time. We are confident that your child’s experience of our 

school will be an enjoyable one and that you will quickly feel at home and feel comfortable slotting into our school and 

its’ activities. We would like to meet you and bring you on board as partners in the education and teaching of your

troos en Krag sal ontvang in ‘n moeilike tyd. 

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Kroon-family who lost their father this holiday. We pray that Suzette and the 

girls will receive comfort and strength during this difficult time. 




BELEIDE RAKENDE DISSPILINE EN HUISE 

Die beleide rakende die dissipline stelsels 

(gedragskode en huisbeleid) sal saam met volgende 

week se nuusbrief uitgestuur word. Die dokumente is 

egter beskikbaar by die kantoor. 

HANDBOEKE 

Maak asseblief seker dat al u kind se handboeke 

bestel is deur Credo books. ‘n Inligtings brief met die 

prosedure om boeke te bestel is op die webblad

Graad 8 Oriënteringskamp 

Die graad 8’s vertrek Vrydag, 11 Januarie na Kamp 

Emeritus, te Buffelsdrift vir ‘n oriënteringskamp. Hulle 

word vergesel deur die graad 11 VLR-groep, sowel as 

4 onderwysers. Ons sien daarna uit om die “atome” 

van naderby te leer ken. Dit sal hulle ook die 

geleentheid gee om mekaar op ‘n informele wyse as ‘n 

groep te leer ken. 

Atoomontploffing-konsert 

Die graad 8’s (atome) beplan om ‘n atoomontploffingkonsert 

aan te bied, onder leiding van die graad 11 

VLR. 

Datum: 23 Januarie 2013. 

Plek: Saal by die speelskool 

Tyd : 18:30 

Toegang: Gratis 

U as ouers word hartlik uitgenooi. Meer besonderhede 

sal later aan die leerlinge verskaf word. Vir enige

FASE INLIGTING 

DISCIPLINE AND HOUSE POLICIES 

The policies regarding the discipline systems (code of 

conduct and house policy) will be sent out with next 

weeks newsletter. The documents are available at the 

office in the mean time. 

TEXT BOOKS 

Please ensure that your child’s textbooks have been 

ordered through Credo Books. An information 

document explaining the procedure is available on our

Grade 8 Orientation Camp 

The Grade 8s leave on Friday, 11 January to Camp 

Emeritus at Buffelsdrift for their orientation camp. The 

will be accompanies by the Grade 11 RCL learners, as 

well as 4 teachers. We are looking forward to getting to 

know the ‘atoms’ on a more personal level. It will also 

give them the opportunity to get to know each other in 

a more informal setting. 

Atom explosion concert 

The Grade 8s (atoms) will present an atom explosion 

concert under the leadership of the Grade 11 RCL.

Venue: School hall at the Play school 

Time: 18:30 

Entrance: Free 

You as parents are invited to join us. More details will 

be provided to the learners at a later stage. For any

OUER INLIGTING AAND

Inligtingsaand op Woensdag, 16 Januarie in die 

Speelkoolsaal om 18:00. 

Valentynsdag-sokkie 

‘n Valentynsdans word beplan vir alle 

hoërskoollleerlinge!

Juanita du Plessis Konsert 

Ons is baie opgewonde om aan te kondig dat Juanita 

du Plessis op Saterdag, 23 Februarie 2013, by Curro 

Roodeplaat, in samewerking met Leeutjies en 

Lammetjies gaan optree. Kaartjies is verkrygbaar by 

die kantoor. Kostes verbonde aan die kaartjies is : Alle 

kinders van die ouderdom een tot 13 jaar = R60.00 en 

14 jaar opwaarts = R100.00. Daar gaan aktiwiteite 

teen ‘n ekstra koste vir die kinders aangebied word 

vanaf 14:00. U mag u eie koelboks vir ‘n koste van 

R50.00 inbring. Daar is VIP tafels beskikbaar teen 

R2000.00 vir 10 volwassenes. Vir besprekings kontak

stalletjies met eetgoed, lekkergoed en drinkgoed sal 

heeldag en aand op terrain te koop wees. 

PARENT INFORMATION EVENING 

We invite all high school parents to attend an 

information evening in the play school hall, on 

Wednesday, 16 January at 18:00. 

Valentine’s Day Dance 

We are planning a Valentine’s Day Dance 

for all high school learners! 

Date : Friday, 15 February 2013. 

Venue: School Hall at Playschool 

Time: 19:00 - 22:00 

Entrance: R50 per learner 

Supervision: High school staff 

Juanita du Plessis Concert 

We are very excited to announce that Curro 

Roodeplaat, in conjuction with Leeutjies en Lammetjies 

will be hosting Juanita du Plessis on the 23 rd February 

2013. Tickets are available at the office at a cost of : 

All children from 1 to 13 years old = R60.00 and from 

14 years upwards = R150.00. There will be fun 

activities and entertainment for the children at an extra 

cost, starting at 14:00 as well as market stalls. You 

may bring in your own cooler box at a price of R50.00. 

There will be VIP tables seating 10 adults at a cost of 

R2000.00. For bookings phone Seugnet on 012- 

8089938 or 0826991070. Various stalls with food, 

sweets and drinks will be open all day and into the 

evening. 




INTERHUIS ATLETIEK:

Stuur asseblief die afskeurstrokie terug wat u reeds 

ontvang het oor die atletiek, teen VRYDAG 11 

JANUARIE. Die atletiek is verpligtend vir almal en 

punte sal afgetrek word van die betrokke huis indien 

die leerder nie die byeenkoms bywoon nie (as ‘n atleet 

en/of ondersteuner), tensy ‘n mediese sertifikaat 

ingehandig word.
