Casidra donated thirty-six (36) computers and five (5) 

printers to the various needy communities. Six 

computers and one printer were donated to the 

Kranshoek Community Centre, four computers and one 

printer to Amalienstein, another four computers and one 

printer to the Haarlem Community Centre, and four 

computers with one printer to the Waaikraal community 

centre and one printer to the Henkries farm in the Northern 

Cape. 





Another set of ten computers were donated to the 

Computer Centre in Kranshoek and four computers were 

donated to the Nelspoort community, while two computers 

were donated to the Assemblies of Christian Brethren in 

Zoar and another two computers were donated to the 

Methodist Youth Group in Mitchell's Plain. 

This equipment will be used by the members of the 

different communities to train and equip others with relevant 

computer skills as well as for other reasons such as job 

creation.

Anhalt 2005-oes

verpakking van meer as 2000 ton appels nie, 

maar ook die bestuur van 70 tydelike werkers en 

reëlings ten opsigte van die verkryging van 

pakmateriaal en bemarking van die vrugte, sowel 

as die administrasie om uiteindelik te kan bepaal 

of elke karton betaal is. 

Uitvoerregulasies raak jaarliks strenger en dit is 

ongelooflik aan hoeveel vereistes voldoen moet 

word om vrugte na veral Europa te mag uitvoer.

West Coast CoastCare Project

teams of 10 people totalling a number of 126 

Temployees including two project managers, Marius 

Meyer and Eddie Phillips. These teams are multi-skilled 

and do various jobs extremely well, which include the 

cleaning of the coast and towns such as Velddrif, Elands 

Bay, Lamberts Bay, Doring Bay, Papendorp and 

Ebenhaeser. The teams have also shown their creativity as 

they are able to make handcrafts. According to Peet 

Visser, CoastCare's former project co-ordinator, the project 

manager at Velddrif, Marius Meyer, managed to secure a 

shop at the Velddrif waterfront to sell these arts and crafts. 

The use of the shop was made available to the CoastCare 

team as a repayment for cleaning the waterfront.

Ons wens die twee dames geluk en alle sterkte 

toe met hulle aanstellings. 

So stoom die jaar voort en dis alweer snoeityd hier oppie plaas. Ja en nes 

ons dink die winter is op sy ergste dan moet ons alweer keer vir die lente se 

werk en dan is dit sommer Krismis. Maar wag, ek loop die jaar nou sleg 

vooruit. 

Nou hoor die oom hier so langs die wingerdloot af dat die ou 

hoofpatattrapper homself glo 'n gintleman gehou het op Merweville. Die 

storie loop so: hy en die dametjie wat kapasiteitbou hanteer het werk gedoen 

op Merweville en toe bel sy hom die aand laat vanuit haar kamer, want sy kon 

nie haar kamerdeur van binne oopkry om die natuur se geroep te stil nie. 

So druk en beur onse ou groot patattrapper aan die deur, maar net verniet 

die knip wil niks weet nie. Sonder planne is Casidra se manne darem ook 

nie en word die venster op die stoep oopgemaak en klim die gintleman deur 

om die dame te red. Ons man het die deur se slotmeganisme met sy 

Switserse mes aangespreek en siedaar die dame is verlos. 

Nou wonner die oom maar net wat dink die Merwevillers? Want sien toe 

onse man net sy aanloop op die vensterbank neem toe ry daar mos 'n mouter 

voor die venster verby. Ook maar goed hy het die deur oopgekry want wat 

sou die mense sê as hy en sy saam deur die venster na buite moes klim?
