<strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>MEETING</strong> <strong>2013</strong> <strong>ANNOUNCEMENTS</strong><br />

1. REQUEST FOR PRAYER: <strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>MEETING</strong> IS TWO WEEKS AWAY!! - Please pray earnestly for the<br />

presence and the power of the Holy Spirit at Camp Meeting this year. Pray also for the guest speakers.<br />

Pray for travel mercies for the speakers and for all who will be attending. May we not depart from Camp<br />

Meeting without being revived and renewed through the in-pouring of the Holy Spirit in our lives, so that we<br />

can be effective witnesses to the world.<br />

2. COUNSELLING SERVICE AVAILABLE DURING <strong>CAMP</strong><strong>MEETING</strong>: A Counselling service will be available<br />

during Camp Meeting in the northern vestry of the Auditorium at the following times:<br />

Friday, 29 March from 09:00 - 13:00<br />

Sunday,31 March from 09:00 - 13:00<br />

You will have the opportunity to book at the Information Office for the time slot most suitable to you and you<br />

may also select the counsellor of preference (as listed on the roster).<br />

3. <strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>MEETING</strong> (28 MARCH – 1 APRIL <strong>2013</strong>) GUEST SPEAKERS:<br />

The guest speakers for the <strong>2013</strong> Camp Meeting will be as follows:<br />

o Dr. James Nix - from the General <strong>Conference</strong> (USA)<br />

o Dr. Ganoune Diop - from the General <strong>Conference</strong> (USA)<br />

o Dr. Pierre Steenberg- from Central California <strong>Conference</strong> (USA)<br />

o Prof. Walter Veith - from the Cape <strong>Conference</strong> (South Africa)<br />

o Ps. Adam Ramdin - from the North England <strong>Conference</strong> (Great Britain) Youth Speaker<br />

o Ps. L Litchfield - (TEEN SPEAKER)<br />

4. MEALS AT <strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>MEETING</strong> 28 March – 1 April <strong>2013</strong>:<br />

This year meals will again be served:<br />

(a) In the Dining Room on the Campgrounds open hyperlink: Menu and Booking Form for Joan's Meals<br />

that will be served in the Camp Grounds Dining Room and<br />

(b) Take away meals will be available from the Sedaven High School dining room on Friday and<br />

Sunday (10:00 – 16:00) – Take-away menu to follow. (No food will be available from the School<br />

Dining Room on Sabbath 30 March).<br />

(c) The “Carrot and Coconut Hut” – near the big tent will again serve take away meals as well as a prebooked<br />

Sabbath sit-down meal for lunch. Open the hyperlink: Menu of "Carrot and Coconut" Vegan<br />

Stall - NB: Sabbath Meal must be booked!<br />

5. <strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>MEETING</strong> RULES: It is important that the Camp Meeting Rules are read and adhered to during<br />

Camp Meeting. Campers: Please take special note that ONLY ONE APPLIANCE may be used at any time<br />

per camp site. A maximum of 6 persons per camp site and only one motor vehicle per camp site will be<br />

7. RESERVATIONS FOR <strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>MEETING</strong> <strong>2013</strong>: A few camp sites might still be available. Open this<br />

8. <strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>MEETING</strong> <strong>ANNOUNCEMENTS</strong> – KID’S <strong>CAMP</strong>US:<br />

All children to please bring their swimming costumes & a towel with them to Camp Meeting on<br />

the Sunday, to participate in the Outdoor Activities, prepared for that day.<br />

We are desperately in need of Wool (any colour and kind) for a craft at Camp Meeting.<br />

9. The <strong>Transvaal</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> Children’s Ministries Department is in need of all church members’ help.<br />

They would like to collect at least 500 empty tins/cans (i.e. empty baked bean, sweetcorn tins etc.<br />

holding approx. 400g) and Cereal Boxes for their <strong>2013</strong> Children’s Camp Meeting crafts slot. All<br />

donations of such items will be highly appreciated. Please call Lyndell Smithwick at: 011 856 4478 or<br />

10. <strong>CAMP</strong><strong>MEETING</strong> FUN WALK / RUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY +/- 5 KM (FRIDAY & SUNDAY<br />

MORNING AT 06:00) The Youth Camp Meeting team is inviting ALL campers to come and enjoy the fresh<br />

morning breeze!! Bring Grandpa and Grandma!! Bring Daddy and Mommy!! Bring all the children!! Meet<br />

at 06h00 at the Youth Hall.


KAMPVERGADERING <strong>2013</strong> AANKONDIGINGS<br />

1. VERSOEK VIR GEBED: Dit is slegs TWEE weke voor Kampvergadering! Mag u smeekgebede nou met<br />

erns opgaan vir die teenwoordigheid en krag van die Heilige Gees tydens kampvergadering. Mag ons<br />

waarlik smeek dat die Heilige Gees ons sal hernu en hervorm sodat ons effektief vir die Here sal getuig.<br />

2. BERADING TYDENS KAMPVERGADERING: Berading gaan tydens Kampvergadering aangebied word in<br />

die noord konsistorie van die gehoorsaal as volg:<br />

Vrydag, 29 Maart van 09:00 - 13:00<br />

Sondag,31 Maart van 09:00 - 13:00<br />

Daar sal geleentheid wees om by die Inligtingskantoor te bespreek vir die tydgleuf van u keuse asook vir<br />

die berader met wie u wil beraad, soos op die rooster aangedui.<br />

3. KAMPVERGADERING (28 MAART - 1 APRIL <strong>2013</strong>) GASSPREKERS:<br />

Die gassprekers vir die opkomende <strong>2013</strong> kampvergadering sal DV as volg wees:<br />

o Dr. James Nix - van die Wêreld Konferensie (VSA)<br />

o Dr. Ganoune Diop - van die Wêreld Konferensie (VSA)<br />

o Dr. Pierre Steenberg- van Sentraal California Konferensie (VSA)<br />

o Prof. Walter Veith - van die Kaap Konferensie (Suid-Afrika)<br />

o Lr. Adam Ramdin - van die Noord Engeland Konferensie (Engeland) Jeug Spreker<br />

o Lr. L Litchfield - (TIENER SPEKER)<br />

4. MAALTYE TYDENS KAMPVERGADERING 28 Maart – 1 April: Aansitmaaltye sal bedien word<br />

a. In die eetsaal op die kampgronde. Maaltye sal voorberei word vir ʼn maksimum van 300 persone; dus<br />

moet jy asseblief vroegtydig bespreek om teleurstelling te voorkom. “hyperlink”: Menu & Booking Form for<br />

Joan's Meals served in the Camp Grounds Dining Room<br />

b. Wegneemetes sal beskikbaar wees by Hoërskool Sedaven se eetsaal op Vrydag en Sondag (10:00 –<br />

16:00) Wegneemetes spyskaart sal volg. (Geen kos sal by hierdie lokaal beskikbaar wees op Sabbat 30<br />

Maart nie).<br />

c. Die “Carrot & Coconut Hut” – digby die groot tent, sal weer wegneemetes bedien en hulle sal ook<br />

middagetes bedien op Sabbat as u vooraf bespreek het - Menu of "Carrot and Coconut" Vegan Stall –<br />

Let Wel: Moet vir Sabbat bespreek!!<br />

5. KAMPVERGADERING REËLS: Dit is belangrik dat almal wat kampvergadering bywoon bekend is met die<br />

meegaande reëls. Kampeerders: Moet veral kennis neem dat net EEN ELEKTRIESE TOESTEL op ʼn slag<br />

gebruik mag word by enigeen van die kampeer staanplekke. Bly by die beperkings van ʼn maksimum van 6<br />

persone per staanplek en alleenlik een motorvoertuig per staanplek. Verwys na hierdie “hyperlink” vir die:<br />

6. BESPREKINGS VIR KAMPVERGADERING <strong>2013</strong>: Daar is moontlik nog ʼn paar staanplekke beskikbaar.<br />

Besprekingsvorms is op die “hyperlink” Reservation Forms for Tvl Conf Camp Meeting <strong>2013</strong> beskikbaar.<br />

7. KAMPVERGADERING AANKONDIGINGS – JONGSPAN KAMPUS:<br />

Kinders moet almal asseblief hul swemdrag en handdoeke op die Sondag van Kampvergadering<br />

naweek saambring om deel te neem aan die Buitemuurse Aktiwiteite wat vir daardie dag beplan is.<br />

Ons het dringend Wol nodig (enige kleur of soort) vir ‘n handwerk aktiwiteit wat die jongspan<br />

tydens kampvergadering gaan doen.<br />

9. Die <strong>Transvaal</strong> Konferensie – Departement Kinderbediening het u hulp dringend nodig. Hulle wil<br />

graag ten minste 500 skoon leë blikke / kanne en ontbytgraankoshouers vir hul <strong>2013</strong><br />

Kampvergadering kinderprogram bymekaarmaak. (Die grootte van die blikke – kan ongeveer 400g<br />

inhoud hou soos b.v.“Baked Beans” blikkies). Skenkings van sodanige items sal hoog op prys gestel word.<br />

hulp kan wees in die verband.<br />

10. KAMPVERGADERING PRETSTAP / PRETDRAF VIR DIE HELE GESIN +/- 5 KM (VRYDAG EN<br />

SONDAGOGGEND OM 06h00). Die Jeug Kampvergaderingspan nooi ALLE kampeerders uit om die<br />

vroeë oggendluggie te kom geniet. Ontmoet mekaar 06h00 by die Jeugsaal.<br />

11. HELPERS WORD DEUR STANBOROUGH SA BENODIG gedurende Kampvergadering vanaf Donderdag<br />

28 Maart <strong>2013</strong> tot Maandag 1 April. Persone wat belangstel, stuur asseblief ʼn epos aan<br />
