Detailed itinerary
Day 1 – Libreville / Train / Lopé National Park
Upon arrival at Libreville airport, meet with our representative for the transfer to Hotel Tropicana. Day-use
room and breakfast at the hotel. Time at leisure until time for transfer to the train station for departure on
the evening train to Lopé, with arrival at Lopé Hotel in the early hours of the next morning.
Day 2 – Lopé National Park
Full board at Lopé Hotel. Morning at leisure for some rest at the swimming pool. Afternoon game drive in
the park with a chance to see elephants, buffaloes, red river hogs and antelopes like sitatunga or yellow
back duiker.
Day 3 – Lopé National Park
Full board at Lopé Hotel. Morning safari in dugout canoe on the Ogooué River or in 4x4 vehicles for a visit
to the site of ancient rock engravings. Afternoon game drive amongst the forest galleries.
Day 4 – Lopé National Park
Full board at Lopé Hotel. Morning walk in the forest and afternoon at leisure.
Day 5 – Lopé National Park / Lekedi Park
Breakfast and morning game drive. Departure by train to Moanda. Upon arrival, transfer to Lekedi Park in
Bakoumba. The observation platform here is most spectacular, a 30 metre high and 360 metre long bridge
overlooking the canopy where a colony of mandrills live. On a small island on the lake chimps are kept
before reintroduction and can be visited.
Day 6 – Lekedi Park
Full board. Visit the different areas of Lekedi Park, in particular the spectacular walkway over the canopy
for the observation of mandrills and chimps.
Day 7 – Lekedi Park / Libreville
Breakfast and morning excursion to the liana bridge and the Poubara waterfalls. Transfer to the airport for
the flight to Libreville. Upon arrival, meet with our representative for the transfer to Tropicana Hotel.
Day 8 – Libreville / Loango National Park
Breakfast and morning at leisure. Transfer to Libreville airport for the flight to Gamba. Upon arrival at
Gamba, transfer to Sette Cama Safari Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Sette Cama Safari Lodge.
Day 9 – Loango National Park
Breakfast and depart for the heart of Loango for a day excursion with pic-nic lunch. The beach will be
reached by boat and here you will be able to walk and spot the animals coming to the beach. Dinner and
overnight at Sette Cama Safari Lodge.
Day 10 – Loango National Park
Breakfast and depart for a full day excursion to Lake Sounga, with pic-nic lunch. Dinner and overnight at
Sette Cama Safari Lodge.
Day 11 – Loango National Park / Libreville / Departure
Breakfast at the lodge and transfer to Gamba for the flight to Libreville. Connection with you return flight.
