Mountain Innovation Camp In this new teaching format, 21 out-of-the-box thinkers from various fields were brought together in a cabin high up in the Alps from 5 to 8 March. The Camp is designed for teaching entrepreneurship in theory and practice. The five interdisciplinary teams at the Camp developed business ideas themed “Outdoor Recreation for Families.” Input and support were provided by Professor Huttenloher, Professor Sailer of MUAS, Professor Alistair Fee from Belfast, corporate partner Deuter Sport and other faculty members. After four days of intensive work, detailed analysis of case studies at the cabin and market research on the slopes, five promising business ideas were presented. A child seat system providing mobility in all situations, new ways to combine backpack safety, design and functionality and an innovative idea lab much interested Deuter Sport. The extensive experience gathered from numerous SCE events flowed into devising this new format. In 2013 an international Co-Creation Camp will be started, the outcome of which we are awaiting with great anticipation. page 17 ‘Entrepreneurs live‘ SCE invites prominent entrepreneurs to E‘live presentations, which are followed by a round of discussion with students and guests. Max Wittrock inspired guests at the first event in 2012 by telling the story behind “mymüsli”. The global economy will go on running without Toyota, but not without DELO adhesives! Guests found out why this is true in a presentation by Sabine Herold, who together with her husband made DELO into a “hidden champion” in the high-tech adhesives market. It was a sensation when Philipp Karmires of Google dropped in before summer break to talk about the corporate culture at that innovative internet giant. And in October, trendy restaurateur Michi Kern joined us. “Party, Yoga and Philosophy – An Extraordinary Success Story” was the title of the presentation held by the successful, multi-faceted and likeable Michi Kern, who has opened 35 clubs and stores in 12 years. “Focus on Feminine Beauty – from Idea to Brand” was the title of the presentation held by Helmut Baurecht, CEO of ARTDECO cosmetic Group, which rounded out the year‘s programme. Currently the companies Burda Style Group and Forever Living Products are scheduled to present as part of the 2013 programme. QUALIFICATION
