Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you

to the International Festival “Degree &

Profession”. As you know, the Romualdo

Del Bianco Foundation was founded with

the aim of promoting opportunities for

intercultural dialogue between young

people from different countries. Our

initiatives go beyond expected learning

tactics to encourage the exchange of

experiences and knowledge among young

individuals through the co-operation and

the desire to achieve a common result.

Through “Degree and Profession”, students

and their professors may continue on their

intellectual journeys even after receiving a

degree. Our Foundation is promoting this

festival because it allows its participants

to exhibit what they have learned during

their years of study to their colleagues

from other countries, professors and

students from different universities, and,

most importantly, professionals and

entrepreneurs of the world.

We have in our hands the future and hopes

of success that nourish these youths.

Therefore, we have devised an annual

event “Degree & Profession” and starting

from this year, it gathers several experts,

professionals, and firms that are supportive

and share in our hopes. To these

individuals we give our utmost thanks.

We also would like to give special thanks

to those universities that are already

candidates to host the Regional Festival of

Degree & Profession” in their countries.

Their commitment can really provide growth

opportunities for all young people in the

world. The Regional Festivals will be more

accessible to participants and will be highly

specialized on local aspects. They will

begin next March 15 th -21 th , 2009 at

Azerbaijan University of Architecture and

Construction, hopefully continuing in June

in Odessa, Ukraine, and then in September

in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. We hope that this

meeting in Florence will encourage

universities from all over the world to apply

for candidacy in order to take an active

part in the effort to enhance the skills and

expectations of the younger generations.

To conclude, I would like to thank you all

for coming to the Auditorium for the

International Festival “Degree &

Profession.” I sincerely hope that the

success of this initiative will encourage you

all to continue participating in the next

editions of the Festival and to collaborate

with our Foundation in the future.

Again, I welcome you all to “Degree &

Profession!”

Paolo Del Bianco

President Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation
