Selected in the third round of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft, Segares<br />
enters his seventh MLS season in 2011. The Costa Rican international<br />
returned to the Fire midway through the 2010 season after spending<br />
the fi rst half of the year with Cypriot club Apollon Limassol. The 2007<br />
Chicago Fire Defender of the Year has proven his versatility over the<br />
years, smoothly slotting in as a left back and in the middle of defense<br />
since joining the club in 2005. Offensively, Segares’ 8 career goals ranks<br />
him second all-time among the club’s defenders, behind Ring of Fire<br />
