CONSULTANCIES AND TRAINING<br />
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Consultant and Trainer. Consulted with<br />
and trained approximately 20-25 police agencies across Kansas and Texas on CPTED from 2000-2010.<br />
Consulted with and advised university and public libraries, public and private schools, retail<br />
establishments and apartment complexes on implementation <strong>of</strong> CPTED strategies to reduce loss and<br />
protect clients and patrons. Served as an expert witness in premises liability lawsuits. Published two<br />
books and six refereed journal articles on how burglars and other <strong>of</strong>fenders can be deterred through the<br />
use <strong>of</strong> CPTED principles. Graduate <strong>of</strong> the National Crime Prevention Institute training for CPTED<br />
practitioners in 2000.<br />
