o<strong>the</strong>rs diminishes our suffering. At <strong>the</strong> time of death,<br />
thinking of o<strong>the</strong>r beings <strong>and</strong> wishing <strong>the</strong>m to be<br />
happy <strong>and</strong> free from suffering would bring great<br />
peace to our mind. Lama Zopa Rinpoche says that<br />
<strong>the</strong>se are <strong>the</strong> best thoughts <strong>and</strong> feelings that we could<br />
have in our mind be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>and</strong> during death. Not only<br />
do <strong>the</strong>y help us have a more peaceful death, but <strong>the</strong>y<br />
also purify our negativities <strong>and</strong> accumulate positive<br />
potential, or merit, which ensures a good rebirth in<br />
<strong>the</strong> next life.<br />
