A breakthrough in

primer technology

Nexa Autocolor is proud to

announce the launch of Eco+

Primer Surfacer, the latest in a

series of products designed to

help protect the environment,

whilst delivering the same

high quality and outstanding

performance synonymous with

the world’s leading premium

refinish brand.

An innovative solution for protecting

the environment without compromising

on quality or productivity

Increased bodyshop

productivity and enhanced

quality of repair

Representing a world’s first for the refinish

industry, Eco+ Primer Surfacer incorporates

a unique raw material – high quality PET

plastic flakes, which are made from recycling

plastic drinks bottles and food packaging

that would otherwise take hundreds of years

to decompose in landfill sites.

Motor manufacturers are aiming to

increase the percentage of recyclable

material used in the production of new

cars. Nexa Autocolor mirrors this aim

through its commitment to developing

innovative and environmentally sustainable

solutions that are used to maintain, repair

and protect cars.

Nexa Autocolor – pioneering

innovative, environmentally

sustainable solutions

In addition to these environmental

credentials, Eco+ Primer Surfacer offers

many process and performance benefits.

n It has been developed to provide a very

smooth film, which makes the sanding

process extremely fast and easy, ensuring

optimum efficiency and therefore helping to

increase the profitability of the bodyshop.

n The exceptional sag resistance

and excellent overspray absorption of

Eco + Primer Surfacer makes it the ideal

primer for bumpers and complex repairs.

n As a mild primer it can be applied over

the most sensitive OEM substrates and

always ensures a high quality final finish.

Eco+ Primer Surfacer is

available in three spectral

grey shades with a dedicated

hardener, P210-4470.

Nexa Autocolor has a history of providing

innovative, environmentally sustainable

solutions having led the way with the

launch of the ground breaking Aquabase

waterborne mixing scheme in 1992 and

last year completing a full waterborne

repair system, helping bodyshops to further

reduce solvent emissions.

Eco+ Primer Surfacer continues

this tradition and is the world’s

first refinish product to

incorporate high quality waste

plastic PET flakes.

Using this new primer allows bodyshops to

demonstrate their commitment to protecting

the natural environment while supporting a

strategy already being used by the major

motorcar manufacturers. Importantly,

Eco+ Primer Surfacer enables bodyshops to

do this without compromising the quality of

the repair.

As part of large, multi-national corporation,

PPG Industries, Nexa Autocolor takes

sustainability very seriously and recognises

its responsibility to preserve and protect

the global environment in which it operates.

In addition to developing environmentally

friendly products like Eco+ Primer Surfacer,

Nexa Autocolor also adopts a series of

procedures to ensure the continuing safe,

energy efficient and sustainable manufacture

of all of its coatings.

This commitment to quality, innovation,

performance and sustainability makes Nexa

Autocolor the paint supplier of choice for

thousands of bodyshops.
