The company <strong>VMT</strong> <strong>GmbH</strong> – Gesellschaft für Ver-<br />
messungstechnik – was founded in 1994. Ad-<br />
ditionally to development and sales of guid-<br />

Today, modern manufacturing processes make higher demands on<br />
measuring technology. Time, accuracy and speed are important<br />
factors. Therefore, mobile 3D-coordinates-measurement technology<br />
with opto-electrical sensors becomes more and more important<br />
in industry.

During the establishment of manufacturing<br />
cells / lines, individual equipment has to be<br />
checked and adjusted, if necessary.<br />
This is usually done by measuring the deviation<br />
from CAD which enables immediate<br />
correction of the tested machine.<br />
Calibration of Robots<br />
Additionally to the accuracy of the supporting<br />
surfaces, the robots of the individual<br />
steps have to be checked and calibrated<br />
also. The robot arm is controlled to<br />
get to the specified positions and checked<br />
by measurement. The robot is trained by<br />
comparing the actual position with the<br />
required position.<br />

DPS – Digital Photogrammetry System<br />

DPS is a high-performance, highly precise measuring system on<br />
the basis of photogrammetry with minimal personnel demand. The<br />
object to be checked is indicated by alignment marks that are<br />
labelled with ring codes and the scales to be certified. All areas<br />
to be captured are recorded from different directions. On the<br />
principle of spatial triangulation, digital measured images are<br />
processed and 3D-coordinates of relevant geometry are calculated.<br />

This new measuring technology makes it<br />
possible to measure a lot of objects at the<br />

We work with Leica Laser Trackers LTD600<br />
and LTD800. This is a mobile 3D-Coordinates<br />

highly precise laser interferometer measuring<br />
the distance with highest accuracy of<br />
angles.<br />
The Laser Tracker also offers mobility and<br />
high accuracy for a big bulk of measurements.<br />
