Milena Storti completed her musical education at the Conservatory in Pescara, her hometown,<br />
with Nicoletta Panni. She attended masterclasses with Erik Werba and Claudio Desderi and in 1996<br />
won the Inner Wheel Best Lyric Voice prize at the Scuola di <strong>Music</strong>a di Fiesole.<br />
She made her operatic debut in 1992 with Rossini’s La Cenerentola at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa,<br />
followed by Le Comte Ory in Turin, Mistress Bentson/Lakmé in Palermo, Meg/Falstaff at the<br />
Aldeburgh Festival and in Turin, Maddalena/Rigoletto, Federica/Luisa Miller, Zita/Gianni Schicchi.<br />
Milena Storti is particularly interested in the twentieth-century and contemporary repertoire,<br />
and has devoted an important part of her career to seventeenth- and eighteenth-century music,<br />
participating in numerous productions with Christophe Rousset, Ottavio Dantone, Alan Curtis, Mike<br />
Fentross, and Fabio Biondi. Among her recent engagements are Handel’s Alcina at the Kiel Opera;<br />
Handel’s Il trionfo del Tempo e della Verità in Bolzano with Bozen Baroque Orchestra and Claudio<br />
Astronio; Handel’s Agrippina at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and the Opera Rara Festival in<br />
Cracow; Cavalli’s La Calisto at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater<br />
in Vicenza and Verona; a revival of Agrippina at the Festival Via Stellae in Santiago de Compostela;<br />
a recording and concert performance of Rossini’s Petite Messe solennelle under Tito Ceccherini;<br />
Gluck’s Le Cinesi at the Musikfestspiele in Potsdam and in Winterthur; Handel’s Berenice with<br />
Il Complesso Barocco and Alan Curtis; Pergolesi’s L’Olimpiade at the Pergolesi Festival in Jesi<br />
with Alessandro De Marchi; Mozart’s Requiem under the baton of Christopher Hogwood; and a<br />
European concert tour of Giulio Cesare with Il Complesso Barocco and Alan Curtis.<br />
