COMPANY HISTORY
Innovations are part of a long tradition in
our Company's history, which owes its
origins to the enterprise and energy of
Friedrich <strong>Duss</strong>, who founded a small
workshop in Neubulach, in 1920, for the
production of electrical control panels and
DC motors.
From a small family business, a modern
industrial undertaking evolved, specialising
in power drills, rotary hammers and dia-
mond core drills which, thanks to a spirit of
inventiveness and countless patents, has
acquired an international reputation. Among
its outstanding successes, DUSS can claim
a number of technological achievements
which, today, are taken for granted by users
on building sites.
Thus, at the beginning of the 1950s,
DUSS startled the building trade with
the invention of a fully insulated, hand-held
drill. At about the same time, a two-speed
rotary drill with pistol grip also bore the
name of DUSS.
The Company was responsible for another
milestone at the beginning of the 1960s with
the development of a electro-pneumatic
combi hammer, which, for the first time,
featured an integrated dust extraction, a
safety clutch, a drilling/chiselling selector
switch and oil mist lubrication - all revolu-
tionary at the time.

Moreover, since then, DUSS has
repeatedly astonished the experts in
the field with new developments, a long
series of which extend all the way to the
present day. A few years ago, the Company
was able to introduce the world's first SDS-
max combi hammer in the 4-kilo class.
Innovation with tradition
We also take pride in our current PK 160
and PK 300 demolition hammers which,
with their powerful impact force, are able
in many cases to eliminate the need for a
compressor.
While applications may have changed,
our original policy still holds good.
As always, we give priority to the quest for
the optimum in industrial products, made to
the highest quality standards. This principle
runs like a red thread through the entire
history of the DUSS Company. A living,
innovative tradition which we maintain with
the utmost conviction and commitment.

electric rotary drill at the
Industrial Exhibition in Leipzig.

<strong>Duss</strong> produces a masterpiece in its P 50 electropneumatic
rotary hammer featuring an integrated

Our machines are easy and convenient
to use. A sealed lubricating system
assures the user of freedom from mainte-
nance, while a precision electronic control
system permits the selection of the opti-
mum, infinitely variable rotary speed and/or
impact force.
The trigger lock is a particularly practical
feature for continuous use. Damping
elements and padded grips provide pro-
tection against vibration and permit non-
fatiguing work. Also take a look at the
robust gearing. Every DUSS machine is
good for years and years of reliable service.

Safety clutch
Our low-wear safety clutch, with gentle start-
ing torque (a unique feature), protects the
user from injury and the motor from being
overloaded.
Automatic centring bit
DUSS has developed a special automatic
centring bit for use with diamond core drills.
By contrast with conventional core-type
drills, the centring bit retracts during the
drilling process.
Precision metering
PRODUCT ADVANTAGES
A further advantage of DUSS diamond
drilling technology is its precision water
metering system which permits the precise
preselection and constant delivery of the
requisite volume of water.
VRS (Vibration Reduction System)
Developed in 2007, the vibration reduction
system ensures effective vibration damping
