Sub : Regard<strong>in</strong>g murder <strong>of</strong> Sri Niyamat Ansari <strong>of</strong> <strong>Manika</strong> <strong>Block</strong>, <strong>Latehar</strong> District.<br />
Sir,<br />
With reference <strong>to</strong> the above cited subject I have <strong>to</strong> say that on receipt <strong>of</strong><br />
compla<strong>in</strong>t through e-mail regard<strong>in</strong>g murder <strong>of</strong> Sri Niyamat Ansari <strong>of</strong> Matilda <strong>Block</strong>, DC-cum-<br />
DPC, <strong>Latehar</strong> was directed <strong>to</strong> take necessary action and submit report.<br />
DC-cum-DPC and SP <strong>Latehar</strong> have submitted jo<strong>in</strong>t report vide No. 167 dated<br />
03.03.2011 which has been forwarded <strong>to</strong> M<strong>in</strong>istry <strong>of</strong> <strong>Rural</strong> Development vide No. 1247 dated<br />
03.03.2011 <strong>of</strong> this department.<br />
Further I have <strong>to</strong> say that the follow<strong>in</strong>g actions have been taken <strong>in</strong> this case :-<br />
(l) Crim<strong>in</strong>al proceed<strong>in</strong>gs have been <strong>in</strong>itiated by fil<strong>in</strong>g FIR <strong>in</strong> M.a.nika P.S. <strong>of</strong> <strong>Latehar</strong> District<br />
bear<strong>in</strong>g case No. 20/11 <strong>of</strong> 03.03.2011. One <strong>of</strong> the name accused Sri Adult S<strong>in</strong>gh has<br />
been arrested and sent <strong>to</strong> jail.<br />
(2) Family <strong>of</strong> the deceased Niyamat Ansari has been covered under National Social Security<br />
and Relief Network by provid<strong>in</strong>g old age pension <strong>to</strong> his father.<br />
(3) Widow pension has been sanctioned <strong>to</strong> his wife,<br />
(4) Benefit under National Family Benefit Scheme has been provided <strong>to</strong> his wife.<br />
(5) It is reported by DC and SP, <strong>Latehar</strong> that CPI (Maoist) has taken responsibility <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>in</strong>cident.<br />
A copy <strong>of</strong> the second jo<strong>in</strong>t reoprt <strong>of</strong> DC & SP <strong>Latehar</strong> (Letter No. 245/C dated<br />
11.03.2011) is enclosed for needful.<br />
