fibrosis surrounding the end of a bronchiole, the proximity of this bronchiolar structure to the pleural surface, <strong>and</strong> the smooth muscle bronchiolar remnants<br />

<strong>with</strong>in the fibrous str<strong>and</strong>. The parenchyma is aerated <strong>and</strong> emphysematous despite the bronchiolar obliteration.
