We cherish beauty
and function …
Stelton classic is based on the
cylindrical shape – a shape that gave the series an
iconic status. Its characteristic design is inspired by
Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda-Line from 1967.
Our DNA: A DNA building on the successful Cylinda-
Line by Arne Jacobsen is our proud design heritage
at Stelton. Our brand is based on AJ’s rigid design
language, which you’ll recognise in our design. Today,
we offer you four different design-lines: classic, explore,
i:cons and norstaal.
Our design: We want to tickle your design gene through:
surprising, innovative yet functional and high-quality
Scandinavian design. We do our best to design products
you enjoy today and in the future.
Stelton i:cons is a design line of
personal accessories with a stylish Scandinavian
expression. Stelton i:cons are innovative accessories
that stimulate the design gene.
Stelton explore is Scandinavian design
with a clear Stelton expression. The form of Stelton explore
is softer but still with an edge and sometimes even highly
architectural.
Our awards: At Stelton we are honoured to receive a
number of international design awards each year for our
innovative products. See more on www.stelton.com
Stelton norstaal is our cutlery design
line. The cutlery designs were developed from the early
60s up until today – all inspired by the Bauhaus movement
in the 20s. The designs are characterized by the period
they were launched but they still maintain a clear
Scandinavian DNA.

Danish design
became world known
with the era, Danish
Modern. Organic
and sculptural forms
reigned this period
and were given
tremendous attention.
Great design never
goes out of style
Danish Modern is a vintage style of minimalism with clean, pure lines. There is a particular
focus on materials and proportions are embraced. The era thrived in the 1940s – 60s where
focus was on form rather than function. Recently, this era has seen renewed interest and the
form language from Danish Modern inspired Stelton to create the vacuum jug, Kontra.
See for yourself how expressive, sculptural design with emphasis on form is key in our recent
product news. An organic and holistic form language is reflected in both Kontra and Papilio.
Sculptural in their own way and with notes reminding one of the 50s design. Yet, both Kontra
and Papilio stand out by serving functionality, have a sharp edge and choice of materials,
which update the design. We call it Danish Modern 2.0.
Designer of the year:
Holmbäck Nordentoft
What inspires you? Everything, all
the time - we travel, read and explore.
Sometimes it’s a memory from a
place far away; sometimes it’s a note
on a desk.
Who is your favourite designer and why?
It’s impossible to name just one. But
we had a common experience last
summer when we were in Germany to
accept the Red Dot Award and visited
the Porsche Museum. Great design
imbues everything they do - that is simply
astounding and a constant inspiration!
What is your favourite design made by
you and why? No doubt – that’s the
Pure Black Knife series. It was the first
product launched in our name, they
got us our first award and is a true icon
for good design to us.
What is good design in your view?
Beauty and functionality united in
materials that last and become even
more beautiful with wear and tear.
How will you characterize yourselves as
designers? Pretty old-school actually;
aesthetics and functionality are core
values in our work.
What makes Scandinavian design unique?
Simplicity, genuinity & lightness.
The new modern brand
for kiTchenware
In the autumn 2011, Stelton launched RIG-TIG by STELTON - a new modern brand for kitchenware that
brings function and design to the kitchen with consideration of the environ ment. Among the products
is a set of stackable storage boxes that won the Red Dot Design Award 2012. New to the series of
boxes are the cheese box and the set of graters.
Are you interested in kitchenware, design, delicious recipes, news and
competitions? Join us on Facebook and follow us on www.rig-tig.com -and
remember to sign up for our newsletter.
Grate e.g. your vegetables
directly into box 6 or 7
Cheese box for one large or
several small cheeses
VALUE #2 DESIGN Functionality is a high priority for
RIG-TIG, but that doesn’t mean that we compromise on
design and therefore we have cooperated with a group of
excellent designers from around the world. Function and
design goes hand in hand with our dressing shaker. The lid
can be twisted to pour dressing without any spillage and
the stylish design fits all dinner tables.
VALUE #1 FUNCTIONALITY When designing
our RIG-TIG products we always think of how
we can make life a bit easier. Could we save
space, could we save time, could we remove
small moments of irritation? An example is the
carafe cleaner that very easily removes dirt
and calcium build ups.
VALUE #3 RESOURCES RIG-TIG is also
conscious about our environment.
There fore we try to reduce the environmental
impact of producing RIG-TIG items when it’s
possible and makes sense. For instance, our
mixing bowls are made of bamboo melamine,
where we have
replaced 30% of
the melamine
with bamboo.

Vision
Stelton wants to be the
most innovative, trend
setting design brand house
based on the Scandinavian
design philosophy. A brand
the best designers in the
world wish to work for.
Mission
Stelton has the mission
to be the first choice of
consumers, who actively
seek good design to enrich
their lifestyle.
Brand
Values
Surprising, innovative,
best-in-class, high-quality
Scandinavian design
– the brand that tickles the
design gene.
